Connection Timeout - how to log in with terrible internet

Hello,

I am presently stuck with terrible satellite internet, which means logging in to Eve presents me with the following error:

Connection Timeout - The client did not respond to the server's secure challenge within a reasonable amount of time.


Are there any settings I can change or append to the target path in a shortcut to the exe file to avoid this? Obviously what I need here is longer time to respond so I can actually log in and set skills.

I am set with a long skill on this character, but if there is no fix for this I am going to lose out on half a month+ of +5 remapped training on a different account. I did not have a useful long skill to set.

I now have one day left before my alt's skill queue runs out and will remain empty for two weeks.

No reply to this thread, obviously, and no kind of response to my petition either. It would be nice if I could at least get a 'sorry, you're ******, we hate customers that work abroad' post.
