I've played EVE Online for several years now on several accounts and I have found myself questioning why I play quite a bit the past year I have been here. It was all shiny and new at first, then I learned a few things and it became more interesting. That is just about where my journey in EVE stopped.

Once you figure out most things in EVE it becomes very stale. They advertise on the box how fabulous the game is but you truly are a drop in the bucket along with a **** ton of other drops in the bucket. There is honestly no incentive to run a corporation, high sec is saturated with thousands of 5 men corps all advertising the same thing. There is nothing that sets any of them apart and none of them had to honestly do anything tremendous to make their corp and keep it. Any noob with a little bit of isk and some free time can start a corp. There is no barrier to entry as in real business. Any Joe Blow can make a corp and this is how we got here on that.

I was looking through things and saw that my skills for Dreadnoughts and Carriers is now screwed up on both toons. Days ago before the patch I was a stones throw away from flying both vessels and now I am almost 2 months away on one toon and three weeks away on the other. I trained all winter to get skills decent for this stuff and now I get added basically three plex worth of extra training I have to go through. Utter bullshit. Stay on your training queue, always have a skill training, make sure you have a skill plan, for what? So CCP can monkeyfuck you when you're about to sit a ship you've always wanted to fly?

Game has really went down the hole. After you have a certain amount of time or experience in the game, it isn't worth logging in anymore.


CCP should do the game a favor and stop, just turn the servers on and make sure they run. Stop ******* the game up.

I want to be able to fly my Dread again. Also would like to be an inch from flying the ships I was able to almost fly, instead of being another mile away again. It honestly is not fair. CCP toys around with these virtual assets and it doesn't mean much to them. They play with them everyday basically in God Mode. They are disconnected and out of touch with the EVE Community. I'm sure they have their own accounts and toy around with things in game but probably not like they used to before they worked at CCP. I work hard for what I have in game and I come to have fun, not make this a second job. I applaud they had a post up in the forum but I don't have time to catch up and digest all this stuff. There is a lot on this forum and I have more to do in life than read all of this. I have done nothing wrong and yet I am basically penalized.

This isn't like I'm complaining about not being able to fly some destroyer or frigate here, I'll say again these were capitals. Take a long time to train into them and a **** ton of isk to buy the ships and skill books. These are serious investments in the EVE Universe. So like I said, I want to be able to fly my Dreadnought again on my alt. I want to be a touch away from flying the other caps I was almost able to and trained up to as well on both toons.

I know that any business that is reputable back here in the USA would more than likely fix this problem and then some. I'd probably be able to fly both carrier and dread on both my toons but this is CCP. I honestly doubt they'd even fix it how it was, let alone compensate for yet another screw up of theirs to try to keep their customers interested and happy.

And those little gift packages CCP gives everyone isn't keeping anyone around. Lol. Keep doing things like this there won't be many people around. Who would want to make the time investment into a game company that's going to bend them over and have their way with them?

So you were one of those affected by not reading this post dated 06/03/12 (so well over a year ago), and this reminder post dated 07/02/13. How is that CCPs fault that you didn't take the time to read the information for changes that were posted a over a year ago?

Honestly, I'm in the same boat as you with capitals. I was reasonably close to being able to fly them and after the patch I'm a lot further away from them. But that doesn't give you or me the right to complain that changes that were well documented over a year in advance were implemented.

Also the whole "any business that is reputable in the USA would fix this problem and then some" is just more whining about your mistake. The posts you have made in this thread are extremely rage induced, and smell of a CCP took away my toy so I'm going to rage on the forums about it.

In Eve you don't have your hand held with content. You go out into the sandbox and make your own content. That's why we have a massive war going on in the south of Eve at the moment. That's why player run groups like RvB are so successful. That's why a group of new players who have started working together (Brave Newbies) have become well known. The only measure of success in Eve is the bar you set for yourself.

I got a wife, kid, job, and other obligations than to be a forum whore here at the EVE Forums. I catch the occasional article on EVE News and sometimes things on here, but I don't have the time to keep up with this ****. Maybe CCP could find a better way to inform their customers of changes coming before people are affected by them?

If you have time to no life around this huge forum and other sites to collect all the information, more power to ya -- I don't however.

One of my friends said we should be able to fly what we could before, even if we don't have the skills to fly it now. But CCP has really pissed me off over adding months of to my skill training for no ******* reason. **** CCP. I did everything right and what I was supposed to do. Why should I keep returning for **** like this? Then when I ask for help its my own ******* fault cause I'm not a NO LIFER?

Well excuse the eff outta me. I guess I should have the devblog bookmarked and sit around waiting for the next post to digest instead of doing the rest of my life and still try to squeeze in a few hours to play the game.

Keep alienating your fanbase CCP. New games will come out and youll struggle to keep customers.

So this seems like another "ship skills changed and killed my kitten" post. I have to admit I missed at least one change myself and had a skill to pick up with one alt. But as I understand it if you could fly it before you still can, what seemed to change is that to get the skill if you didn't have it already can be different. (I think I tested this in the one case I was caught by).

But as many posters have mentioned trying to be aware of changes coming up in the game is a good way to maximize your enjoyment, particularly in a game as complex as Eve. The "leaf on the wind" model of game play is always a bad idea in Eve. Eve has way to many moving parts that are deliberately always being balanced to just sit back, cross your fingers and hope all your space toys stay the same.

CCP, if the original poster convinces you to shut down Eve can I have your RL stuff? I could use a giant memory disk caching thing at home!

Well I say "sorry". Actually I'm laughing derisively at your refusal to realise or admit to yourself that you dun goofed.

Anyway, carry on getting mad if you enjoy it. You might as well for all the good or harm it will do.

Aside from what's already been said, you see the launcher? And how it show new dev blogs on the right hand side when they get posted?

Oh, you don't use the launcher, right? But it's still CCP's fault, of course.

someone has neve dealt with Blizzard, Activision, Electronic Arts, Bethesda, Gearbox, Cryptic Studios, or really any company that can get away with puttings its ustomer service in north-eastern US or India.

In fact, companies can get away with a whole lot more "go F yourself" to customers than in most countries.

Am I supposed to ask for your stuff now or later?
