BREAKING UPDATE: CCP VERITAS AND JOHN TURBEFIELD SPOTTED TOGETHER IN THE SAME ROOM HOLDING HANDS

Our Witty, Clever Analysis of the Current Situation

First, let's look at the man. He's the stereotypical Eve player: white, long neckbeard, glasses. Also married, presumably to Science itself. When in his natural habitat...actually, that picture is the only known still image of CCP Veritas in his natural habitat (in front of the computer). So take a good hard look. Although there is uncredited and unacknowledged footage of him at a typical day at work.

Now, let's list off all the things he has given us. Here's his first devblog: where he singlehandedly found, fought, and vanquished the "my modules have been cycling for the last goddamn hour but nothing's happening" bug that made Titan doomsdays the most OP weapon ever. I mean, when it comes down to your 8 1200mm artillery pieces firing once every ten minutes versus a weapon that does 3 million damage to whatever it hits on the field that fires once every ten minutes...yeah, you see why that bug was bad. And Veritas kicked its ass. And then some. And he told us all about it with pretty pictures.

Then there's the blog explaining where he found a problem with the way the system checked if a gun was loaded or not. Personally, I like to check if my weapons are loaded by pointing them at the nearest kitten and depressing the trigger, but hey: CCP Veritas is a nice guy.

And then there was that day where we crammed 3242 players into a single system. I'm pretty sure that was the only instance where I helped set a Guinness World Record at college. Of course, that fight sucked, because it was basically everybody's ship randomly deciding to do one action every half hour. Veritas told us why. And then promised to fix it. In between doing his other crap, like REWRITING THE ENTIRE SCANNING FORMULA SYSTEM BY HIMSELF SO HAVING MORE THAN FOUR PROBES ACTUALLY MATTERS NOW.

That's some serious mathematics right there on par with NASA sending a man to the moon.

And he started to fix lag, starting with missiles. And continuing with this.

And finally he was like "Herp derp I'm so powerful I can SLOW DOWN TIME ITSELF and then Hilmar's gonna be like DOOOON'T SLOOOOOOW DOWWWWN and I'm gonna be like "HELL NO" and hit him wit mah PIMP HAND" and then proved what a BAMF he was by showing us the system he came up with in his spare time one weekend in between blowing up noobs.

CCP Veritas does all this alone. He is a programming legend on par with John Turbefield and his accomplishments in game concept and design.

AND HE DOES THIS ALL BY HIMSELF. HE IS TEAM VERITAS.

And if Time Dilation delivers as promised I'm going to petition him personally to get my name changed to "Fixed Lag."

If you've ever read any of my blurbs on twitter or anything I write on Kugu, that alone should convince you I'm not a huge fan of CCP.

But then there's Veritas.
