Logged in this morning and had a notification from an Agent who was in need of my services. Flew to the station and when I started the conversation with them, they gave me the "sorry I only work with people I trust" line and told me to come back with a referral? Is this common? I've been running hisec security missions to try out different frigate and cruiser fits but this is the first time I was summoned AND rejected by an agent...

I'd petition that.

According to our records you completed the mission for them already, not long after being sent the offer. If you'd like more details, you can file a petition and we can break it down for you. Smile

That could be, but if I did complete that mission prior, why would the notification for it pop up today? Can missions be done over again after being completed (cooldown may apply)? I hadn't run any missions yet today when I got the notification...

The mail was sent on 2013.06.12 at 17:28.

The mission was accepted at 17:38, and completed a little while later at 19:02:52.

It's possible, perhaps, that you didn't notice the mail when it was first sent, and only today upon logging in did you see it?

Regular, generic missions can be re-run as many times as you like, but storyline missions like this are once-per-offer only.

Although I've not heard of this sort of thing, I suppose it's also possible the notification was sent out late for some unknown reason, despite the time stamp suggesting it was sent yesterday.

Thanks for the info! It's certainly not a huge issue by any means, but glad to know that you guys are looking after your pilots!

I often get notification popups for something that happened in a previous session when I next log in.
Haven't been able to confirm if the notification mail goes missing for a while or if the popup just doesn't appear.
Maybe that's what happened here.

Just had another one.
Previous session grabbed some datacores from an agent.
Put them on the market.
30 mins later logged off due to downtime.
Log back on, get notification of the usual research agent "problem", basically offering a mission.

R&D agents give an extra mission every once in a while (maybe daily, maybe longer intervals).
These missions give you a bit of extra RP.

No kidding?

The point is that the notification popup doesn't appear until you relog.
