Hi.

There's a war going on and it's a lot of fun. When the servers can handle it. It's especially fun for me because I'm an economics student and the aspect of money in the game is neat for me, as it is in real life!

This war may be really expensive for you. In economics the assumption is that people generally make decisions that make them the best off financially. But if that was entirely true, we might never have wars and just mine all day, and that's not nearly as fun. That's why there is the concept of "utility" in economics which basically means enjoyment. We like to fight and to work together in corps, so it's worth the cost.

Still, people want to get the most utility and to get it for the best price. Basically I'm saying,

You should pick the side that is going to be cheapest to fight for, the side that gives you free, fully fitted ships and ISK and everything you need to keep fighting as long as you can stay awake.

You should play for the side that is going to win.

You should play for the side that is the most fun.

This isn't a war about ideologies or broken honour or anything like. I'm sure if many people wanted to swap sides, they would find a way, but they have a certain sense of allegiance to their side. If you're one of those that realizes this is just a video game, and it's just about maximizing your space profits and fun, then talk to me.

I won't argue about which side is more fun, but I have characters on both and I find Goonwaffe to be the best. Just my opinion, I guess.

Here's the requirements:

It costs 200 million ISK. Sponsoring a defector takes time and paper work, and being an economist, I want to get money for my time, and contribute to the war chest. Probably about half my space wealth is just due to being a Goon and I like to give back. You can easily make this money back just by asking for ISK nicely. That's the nature of CFC, it's space communism except all the commies are rich.

Message me IN-GAME. I have to check Mumble, Jabber, the Goon Forums, and a thousand chat channels in game, so if you message me on these forums I'll probably read it much, much later. Tell me what you fly in your message so I can find a fleet that can use you.

I'll probably only process about 5 - 10 people, depending on how much time I have. This is not an official recruitment thing. We are not short on people or cash. I just personally think there should be an avenue to switch over. It should be like the free market, where you can freely make the decision that sets you up the best.

Is there a way to move it. Like I said, I don't use the forums much.

Confirming that a few months ago I sent XG 200 million ISK, or I might have said I was even though I never did, and was accepted to JUSTK.

Also confirming that I'm having a blast losing derptrons and attritioncats with some reliability (when I'm actually in game which as of late has been not as much, and when I'm not flying a fully tech II fit Maulus, but not with tech II damps because they suck too much cap, but anyway the Maulus is the most awesome ship in the game) all while frying up loads of squid flesh for later consumption, or donations to the poor refugees in the warzone, and typing long run-on sentences on the forums. Soylent Green and all that.
