7o Everyone.


I have been asking around and I searched the forums and other websites but I cannot find a definitive answer for this. What I would like to know is how does the mechanic for new fleet members and which squad they automatically get placed into work. Brave Newbies has a lot of members and most are oblivious as to which squad or wing they are in when they join a fleet. Most of the time they will get placed into a random wing/squad and I cannot figure out a method to control this. It happens a lot where new fleet members will join our Logi wing and it takes a lot of effort from the Fleet boss to constantly ask or force move these members to ensure these new players are in the appropriate squad.

Is there a way a holding wing can be created for new fleet members? It seems that a random squad is picked and all new members are dumped into it until it is filled up and another random squad is picked. Is it possible to create a holding squad/wing that the new fleet members will join?

Nothing I can think of, other than to keep your squads filled up tight, without any empty squads or empty slots in wings where you don't want new people being randomly assigned. That, or turn on Free Move and give people orders on how you want them to organize themselves.

Im not sure but it seems to me the last squad edited is the one people join.

Iv started to rename Squad 1 Logi, and the add more squads after. This seems to work ok for me at least. If how ever i edit squad 1 after iv added more squad and its the last one i edit, it seems people join that one.

Dont know if that make sense, am its not a guide how to. Just saying this works for me, when i set fleets up.

Well like I said, in a large cooperation such as Brave Newbies it becomes very tedious and time consuming as a fleet commander/fleet boss to constantly ask people to join a different squad or force move them. There is a pattern to how the new fleet members are assigned to a squad. I am trying to figure out how this mechanic works.
