Did CCP trash the workaround of using the launcher today?

I have been using the shortcut to avoid the launcher that has worked since the launcher was introduced.
It has worked flawlessly.

Today, after installing the new patch, I get:

Your Eve clinet installation may have been modified, damages, or corrupt files.

Then a list of 3 Verification failed alerts.

Did CCP nuke the workaround to the launcher today?

Wouldnt surprise me if they did.
They REALLY want you to use the launcher......

And apparently they dont care if YOU want to or not.

You mean like all the other game companies out there that ask their player's opinions about anything? Oh wait...

Yes because CCP are evil and never listen to their customers ever unlike such companies like EA, Turbine, WB, Blizzard etc who are a beacon of light when it comes to customer service and listening to their players.

In fact EA are so good they have won the coveted title of "Worst Company In America" 2 years running.

Well I was getting tremendous amounts of lag on logging in and I'm still having difficulty, but apparently nobody else is.
WTF?

i also cant login, launcher doesnt want to autopatch it, repair reports error, eve.exe doesnt want to autopatch, it reports me "We were unable to locate a patchfile for your build no. (553820)."

i allready petitioned it, but still hope for some other solution

Works fine for me with bypass. But then so does my home-made launcher (getting to character screen with the press of a shortcut never been lovelier) \o/

No issues using 3 accounts with the launcher this morning. I don't get the whole bitterness toward the launcher.

For whatever reason, on June 4 release date, the bin/eveexe file was not even there.

Glad it's back.

If you, like me, open multiple accounts, you can speed up the login process, by changing an option in the launcher, that will not let it close after you press PLAY

Here is what you do:

- On the top-right in the launcher, click on the gear shaped button
- A window will pop-up, click on the "Startup" tab, and uncheck "Close the EVE Launcher after starting EVE Online"
- click OK

From now on, when you click play, the launcher stays open. You can always click it to close (tip: you dont have to wait for the actual client to appear before closing that way, as soon as you see the PLAY button turn into "Launching", you can close the launcher.

Now to open another account, in the launcher you just need to click "switch account" and login again


So you can quickly open several accounts real quick:

- Login, click play
- Click switch accounts
- Login, click play.

After a while, all clients will open :)

bin/exefile.exe

been fine since like Odyssey launched...

now if you had left eve open and tried to update you may have casued an issue ...

I really dont see what the problem is with the launcher... Ive been using it this whole time with multiple clients and have had no issues at all.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I'm using too the shortcut instead of the launcher and since 2-3 update, Eve has no sound half the time Roll and every (the F word) time the launcher update itself, all my username and launcher parameters are deleted.
