Hi.

In one thread about changes in Exploration scheem, I found this statement from CCP developer:

CCP Bayesian wrote:

We also want to let players be able to influence the result of the hack more. For example in the exploration sites, heading off and tackling certain nodes would let you influence how the scattering of cans occurs. Further we'd like to increase the granularity in failure as well. This creates more options for any new systems that get introduced using the same mechanics.

Since the thread became so big, that it is barely readable, I do not want to spam there with newbee questions and rather ask here: how on earch can I tackle some node? Warp scambler? Web? I am confused what he meant...

In-game, tackling means "warp scramble and webify," but, as a general English language term, tackling can also mean taking on, handling. So perhaps they are referring to a site with multiple nodes, requiring a team of players to play the exploration minigame at the same time on different nodes.

We won't know what they mean until they implement something so we can see it.

I interpreted that as the more defensive nodes that left untouched the farther/faster loot would spread out when spewed from the can

I think by 'node' in the OP a node inside the minigame is meant. So let's say you rush for the final node and your loot scatters away with much force, as opposed to handling as many nodes as possible to keep it cluttered. I don't think any of this is implemented but I believe with a node the developers mean a node on the minigame grid, not the hackable containers.
