lol not sure if I am doing this right. only 5 days into the game, now 6. was doing the last industry starter mission in hostile space, Heydieles for the Zydrine and other mins and successfully collected the stuff but was greedy and wanted to build all 5 frigs so went back for more. was doing ok and went onto internet explorer to google the blueprints again. only gone less than a minute and my ship was toast. so spent forever in a day trying to build same specs and went back for my things/more cargo and literally 5 seconds after entering the sector was destroyed and pod killed. very upsetting but at least I wasn't in my thorax.
well 500k isk up for grabs.

if I not done this correctly, can you link me please. cheers all

No, you did it correctly. It's just that hundreds of pilots every day generate killrights, and this one doesn't really seem to have anything to make him worth hunting down.

(Also, with that cheap of a public killright he will likely clear it himself if he cares.)

edit: I should note I mean that it was mechanically correct. Not that it was in any way optimal.

thanks. being a newbie to the game, well now at least I know I am doing it right and as regards the kill, you may be right or someone may think 'that's what you get for taking out newbies ;) ' and swiss cheese his ride

Doing it right would mean going back and killing him yourself or paying a merc the proper amount to hunt down and kill someone for you. What you did was waste 500k to pad a bounty he's probably proud of and generated a killright on someone who is already a -10 global free target.

yup but I am only small and wouldn't be a fair fight. I am not Klingon race. if no-one takes up the bounty not a biggie- I could have just left it which is an open invitation for bullies.....(to stress, I was in contested space so not guiltfree but I was podkilled and am taking an early stand in the game ..hopefully its not big enough to show mirth, its just a game after all...)
