i havnt had lag issues in jita for a very long time and im there most days, in and out of station. Id say the server was fine.

I havent had any lag issues in Jita on account of not being able to enter Jita. Roll

It's not one server. But a cluster of various servers including Blades all networked together to form the server cluster. Jita already has a server node dedicated to it. Go shop at another hub maybe?

The op clearly has no idea how the servers work throwing money at it and buying a new one will no solve the problem, since stack less Io was introduced we've made huge strides in performance

People seem to forget that they already have a military/stock market grade server in place to run the reinforced nodes like Jita.

"Better servers" are pretty hard to come by.

Pretty much this.

If anyone can come up with a single threaded x86 server that's better in any significant way then I'd recommend offering it to CCP.

When the current one was installed it was so extreme that the manufacturer (IBM) initially didn't allow them to state the exact specs or designation ;)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.
