Hi all,

Just wondered if someone could take the time to give me a brief insight into the corp / alliance mechanics, how they came to be, motivations for introduction etc.

I dont have a hell of a lot of knowledge on null & sov warfare but with the size of the alliances etc the whole thing seems to be pretty static for the big boys and inaccessible for a small corp, although admittedly that perception could be WAY off.

Thanks in advance.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

The only real resource out there with anything near this amount of history of Eve is the GoonSwarm wiki. Unfortunately it is private.

If you don't mind a slanted bias (they even warn you up front about it). go to themittani dot com. Read Mr Mitten's collum starting from the first archived onward. It gives a fascinating overall view of history prior to the first great war and infiltration/ disbanding of Bob. At least it does from the gsf point of view.

Baring that you could try to find bittervets to tell their personal recounts then piece together an anthology.
