Ed: The Ragnarok might actually take the alpha king title? I honestly haven't looked.

Well the 3M hp Doomsday does bump the numbers up a bit.

I'd say you should use either the letter preceeding the 3rd or the first letter in the ship name, but whatever method you use for a tie breaker good job on turning a crappy thread into some useful discussion.

I would say that the fifth letter and then the seventh are more important as tie-breakers, but the question remains whether blank or null characters go at the begining or the end of the list...

And even then we have to define yet another criteria to decide between the Moa and the Claw...

Perhaps ascending numbers of suitcases?

Bhaalgorn goes top for sure, third and fourth letter is an A. Wait, it's the Moa. It has no further letters.

Also, highest sustained damage lies with the Velator. Amongst ALL the rookie ships.

Someone mentioned citadel torpedo alpha. It might be meaningless because of travel time, but did they not buff the sieged citadel application by a fair margin?

But it's really expensive and will go down like any other ship if you bring enough support, unless you're really going for a bling fit a regular Mega or a Hyperion would be more reasonable, I think in terms of T1 subcap ships the Hyperion has the most damage potential and the Nado has the most alpha.

The question was not, "What are reasonably priced alpha and sustained DPS ships," though, was it?

They removed the penalty to explosion velocity from the siege module, yes.

Plus when GMP was changed to affect unguided missiles, it also started affecting citadel missiles, taking torp radius from 2000 m to 1500 m, despite Fozzie saying explicitly that GMP would not affect citadel missiles. Lol

Nado has rof bonus, not dmg. Mach get 3/4 of a gun more in alpha, and a lot more than that in dps. Hype was newly nerfed in dps, and doesn't come close to vindi to begin with.

Yeah I said T1 ships, Nado is tied with Mael for highest alpha, . The Mach/Vindi are definitely the kings if you're including all subcap ships. For dps, the Megathron comes pretty close to the Hyperion and can beat it, but in a reasonable PvP fit the Hyperion would come out on top for T1 ships. Navy Domi is the most dps for faction ships not including pirate factions.
but as Jack said, asking for what does the most alpha/dps without any context isn't very useful information.

Yeah Ragnarok has the most alpha, with meta guns and 3 RF gyros it has 135k alpha vs Nags 109k alpha.

actually, leviathan gets 220k volley odd and phoenix gets 152k with 4 CN BCSs and a T2 damage rig. suck it minmatar.

What if you are stupid and go with officer stuff instead of faction? I mean, the king should be allowed the most ******** stuff right?
