..do I have to f%^king click Cancel and retry to log in to Jita.

I THINK there is a max number of alts that can be in 1 given system at a time. I think it's a 1000 or something.

If this is what's causing the problem then the only way CCP can fix this problem is to use better/more servers. (So much for CCP wanting over 150,000 players to be on at once)


Anyways, the reason why I think there is a limit is because a few other players have experience similar problems. Some people even had to hire people to move their stuff out of there since they don't want to wait for people to leave to get in the system.
The reason why I don't know the exact number is because I don't use Jita.

you are right, there is a hard cap on jita population, it might be something like 2500 or 3000, but yeah, we should not be encountering sucjh arbitrary hardcap in a game in 2013.

the problem is that the hardware is probably reaching is limit, lots of lag recently, more and more noticeable, but CCP will never admit it, yet the more i play, the more often lags kicks in, it really is obvious on small scale pvp when 20 to 50% of th commands you give take 2-5 seconds to actually make it..... the ship you point with a hictor is able to warpout beside ALL conditions are met etc....

and i have the chance of having a VERY good connection, my ping is 16ms average with spikes to 20ms once or twice a day

IDK if this relates to that, but I've been seeing some delay in the show info tab and market tab. (I've even seen it in other players videos)

Anyways, the problem we are having is there is only 5 trading hubs in this game. That means if there is a 3k cap per system, then that's 15k has to be at the trading hubs for everyone to get SOL. Giving that Jita is the most known and biggest trading hub, everyone is going to go to that one if possible. (I go to hek only because it's a few systems from where I stay)
Giving Jita is the most advertise trading hub between players and CCP, CCP needs to increase the cap of that system to at least 10k. Or they need to make an "advance" trading system to the trade hubs. (buy/sell more remotely, and have the game itself bring the product to you for a fee)
(The problem with the "advance trading" system is how much will the in game fee be to move things and how long will it take the game to move things. Obviously it shouldn't hurt movers, but at the same time it needs to free up the trading system.)

While gate campers and trolls will hate that solution. An "advance trading" system is a hell lot cheaper than buying better servers. (You only need to write the code 1 time and make sure it works. While with a server you must keep it up and switch out parts over time)

well, in fact there is no trade hub in eve, jita became trade hub because players choosed so.

because of it's location etc.... it somehow became a "central" point.

you would know that, on the china server, the main trade also set himself in jita, but the others are not rens / dodixie / amarr!

at the origin, jita was just another system.

plus, you will always have ONE main hub, because that is what player want (even if they don't know it) so what CCP has to do is find the best way that said hub works, trying to go around would never work (like dividing it etc...)

Jita already has it's own reinforced node, you get Jita numbers in any other system in Eve and you're TiDi'd for the rest of the night

Wasn't there a time before Jita became the hub where trade in all of Eve was basically done in one system (Yulai)?

Be glad it's at least abit more spread out now

you are right, jita's node is reinforced, but the issue is that, once again, the limit is almost reached anytime.

this goes with more ppl in eve, this drw more ppl in jita, and the limit, wich used to be reached only during weekends, is n ow reached in week days, and sometime not even during prime time (i'm EU and i often am unable to log in jita / enter jita while it is 6AM US.

as i said before, the hardware is not adapted anymore to the nb of player, incuring various server lag related issue, tidi in entire regions (the region i live in with my main spent a WEEK having tidi kicking out up to 50% avery 5 or 10 minutes, while the region was basically empty, less than 50ppl in the whole lowsec wich is around 20), and hardcap to be reached more and more often.

if you had this to the various bugs introduced by odyssey, plus the changes that are upseting part of the player base, CCP really need to get their things back, and work on those, and work fast.

it is NOT GOOD to upset / ignore your player base, especially in a Game like eve online
