Switching Windows Freeze

Greetings,

I have been experiencing freezes every single day while playing EVE Online. This happens when I switch windows from fullscreen EVE to the system (Mac OS X), and it freezes the computer (iMac) having to be force restarted.
Although this doesn't happen every time that I switch windows on EVE, it does happen very often as I multitask a lot, usually once or twice a day. It's terribly annoying and has caused me to lose unsaved work.

I have tried resetting the settings and clearing the cache, but nothing worked. I would appreciate your assistance.

Kind regards,
Luth

Any idea on how to improve this behaviour?

WINE doesn't run well in full screen mode. Use windowed mode and make the window the size of the screen, or if it's too much of a pain to resize, just run it as one more window on the desktop like I do.

It's not an optimal experience, but it's a lot more stable.

Wow, best piece of advice I got today, thanks!

I was running full screen, 1080p. I changed it to 1600x900 and put it in windowed mode. Not only it got more responsive because it's pushing less pixels, but also my machine is running 10-15C (~75C down from 85-90C) colder than before. Thanks! :-)
