until that piece of crap dust is scrapped we will continue to enjoy the increased lag i bet.

But really fix it by shrinking the map until it is a size that you can accomidate most of eve going to. I mean really we had a 50 man fight with terrible lag because "those systems notmally have little traffic". Does that mean we pay less for these areas?

Meh in the end I really dont care.

But this at least took up some down time :P

At least they were getting it fixed, and VIP mode is for ISD's and gm and such to log in first do some prelim checks to see if basic functions are still working, and then get the monkeys on typewriters to see if all the advanced stuff works properly.

I don't mind the downtime, everybody understands that this happens (i got laundry done), but please don't ever put "see you in # minutes" on the downtime screen again, it adds fuel to the "free skill points" fire and when its not back up in that time you look really bad. just assume nobody knows even if someone does... just a suggestion.

You disgust me. I hate the hardcore crowd in games like this, that say "Go back to WoW", whenever you question anything about said hardcore game. It destroys a community and makes you look foolish.

These downtimes are annoying, some are over-reacting, some aren't. They aren't whining little maggots. They're paying for a service. If EVE was free, sure, they'd be whining little maggots. But they're paying good money to play. So they have the right to voice their frustration.
