I am getting the launcher page but no log in box for usrnm and pwd - it took me 10 minutes to log into forums to post this angry message too......

and no its not my interwebs cause i checked and could connect with two other MMOs and tons of other websites and my bank.....

Do not try and run Eve from the launcher. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
There is no launcher.
Then you'll see, that it is not the launcher that runs Eve, it is only Exefile.exe.
