EvE and the Unity engine

Could we see a future EvE universe based in the unity engine? I've seen the occulus rift demo, of eveVR, and read about how ccp already uses unity for prototyping. Would eve function better and be future proof with a switch from carbon to unity? Could we see a merger of all ccp ideas such as dust coming into a re-launch within the unity engine?

I've been looking at unity and it seems that battlestar galatica mmorpg could be where the devs got the idea for EvEVR, also I am the inventor of the occulus rift, that utilizies hd wireless technology, I had a video uploaded over 2 years ago that went over my ideas for the future of military training and video games. My youtube page was taken down by google, however the videos may still be accessible by google employees.

No, this will never happen. It would take an insane amount of resources to rewrite 10 years of Eve code to work with Unity.

Carbon is also going to be used for their next MMORPG, World Of Darkness. Here again, WoD's content creation toolkit is bolted onto the Carbon framework and entirely incomparable with Unity.

I mean honestly, this idea probably would take the majority of CCP devs working for 5+ years.

I really love CCP's engine, please don't change it....

No reason to, they put SO much work into it. Don't even give them the idea..
