Long Term T2 Price Decrease?

I'm wondering...if high end ores are facing downward pressure, research materials stay ubiquitous, T2 racial components' bottlenecks get ironed out, and ice-based research prices see their margins reduced, could we start to see the costs on T2 goods start to fall quite a bit more than they are now? In addition we will see safer research/production slots open up in null sec, and possible T2 export chains getting started...?

Its up to the nullsec diplos to get indy corps into their space and figure out a way to profit from them without requiring constant disruptive invovlement in sov-warfare, right?

Dirt cheap decryptors will cause more T2 price drops than anything, IMO.

I can now make several 5m-isk value modules for a good 500-600k less than they used to cost.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Some will go down but you need to take into account the fact that some t2 use microprocessors.

First things first. the grab-and-hold must be firm before any plans can be made to exploit the space. War is a given in Nullsec. If you don't have the stomach for it then you're not going to survive... full stop.

Secondly, nullsec alliances, at least back to 2006 when I first started move to nullsec, tended to want to consolidate indy activities in a few (or one) corps. There is constant pressure to be in fleets even if you don't like it and many null sec alliances literally measure your value to the alliance based upon your killboard. The new realities may be what they are but a paradigm shift is needed and it hasn't happened yet. The question is if it will or not.

That said, the big alliances are panicking. The Goons/PL tech monopoly has been specifically targeted by the recent changes and the way it's looking, any idea that will make isk has a better chance of succeeding now than it did in the past. In the past if you wanted to join with an indy corp but you didn't have a tech moon (or several R64's) then you would have been laughed at. Now, if you have several R64's that you are willing to put on the table, then I assume that alliance leaders will at least give you a listen.

I honestly was making an observation from a long distance away from any real production experience, more out of excitement that I"m starting to be able to fly more and more T2 ships, and a price decrease will be good for pvp. What is so special about microprocessors? Are they bottlenecked in some special way?

New materials were added to the making process of microprocessors and that makes them slightly more expensive some jumped about 10k-20k p/u overnight after the patch which in turn also affects the prices of the tech 2 items they are used in.Its debatable if inventors will swallow the raise and cut their own profits or if they will introduce new higher prices for the items they make.So far the second option has been dominant.

The prices on those have to do with the rarity of racial composites at the moment. Those should come down as more people are making them.

I'd agree, Berluth.

I don't think there is going to be an opportunity for the collusion that happened with Technetium in these new materials. There will always be advantaged regions but there won't be another Deklein.

Where there was a blanket reaction before, each of the meta materials has it's own list of ingredients. It's no longer about R64 moons, it's about a variety of R64 moons if I am understanding this right.
