Why do we play a space version of "Fruit Ninja" in Exploration?

Hi CCP..

It has been a few days now that I have been flying around for this .. thing that you changed Archaeology and Hacking into.

While the minigame that you introduced is somewhat nice (no problem with that, actually an improvement), you added this new feature where all stuff gets jettisoned into space and disappears after a few seconds.

I have to ask you as bluntly as it can get: Who is that idiot that came up with that part? Archaeology and Hacking has become useless. I have found a few pieces of Carbon (yeah, you collect them one by one), some Hydrogen Batteries and some other things that were floating around - but nothing useful. Where did all the other items go that you would find in those containers back before you broke it?

And did anyone find anything useful since the change? Because I have not. I made like 5-6k ISK in loot from these sites, and it is highly dissatisfactory. I might as well go back to mining, this is more boring but more satisfactory.

Please - make the stuff stay in space or stop throwing it out the airlock. We are hacking the stuff to access it, not to jettison and to destroy it. I don't see how a piece of carbon only survives for 2 to 3 seconds in space before it evaporates.

Sincerely,

-Kata

I'm going to be pretty blunt about this:

If you're not making a lot more money from data and relic sites now than you were before, it's your own fault.

There are some nuances to the scatter mechanic that you have obviously not figured out yet. They're not very subtle, they're not secret, people have posted about them frequently at this point. Since you apparently haven't come across this yet, I'm going to assume you tried it once, assumed you did it as well as you possibly could, deduced from there that the system was the problem, and came here to complain.

Hint: If you're just trying to randomly grab as many of the scatter cans as you possibly can, you are doing it wrong.

The scatter mechanic is actually quite clever once you realize that the whole system was designed to incentivize (or, really, just reduce the penalty for) multi-person exploration without penalizing solo exploration.

Short version: equip a cargo scanner and visit this site http://neural-boost.com/minicontainer-loot-distribution

Alternatively look at the 2 dozen other threads on this exact same topic.

Of course you would not bother with any real help. Better to write 4 paragraphs of sputum / nonsense instead.

I guess S & I is the new GD.

The workings of the system are entirely common knowledge by now. If you don't know how it works yet, you haven't made even the slightest bit of effort to learn before crying about it.

I don't feel particularly obligated to help interminably lazy twits who can't be bothered reading any of the dozens of other threads about this.

But it's worth your time instead of earning ISK ingame to type, now, 7 paragraphs of tripe ?

I sort of like the implication that earning spacepixels represents a particularly good use of one's time.

I think I've figured out why you spend so much time crying about everything. Lol

That's an accusatory troll with no basis in fact. At all.
