Hi wh guys. I am not sure if its old feature or new one because i am not long in W-space.

I scanned and bookmarked my static exit it eventually reached its end of life stage. After a few hours i warped back to this bookmark and found there fresh new wormhole to new system.

Does the wormhole static spawn always in the same grid or was it only superlucky coincidence?

Usually the coincidences are that the new static is to the same system as the last static. Although technically possible, this is the first time I remember your situation happening.

is this the first time the static has reappeared on the same grid as a previous one?

Its not totally uncommon for a new static to spawn on the same grid as the previous static generally this happens when something along these lines occurs:

Previous static expires close to downtime
First person who loads the system after downtime warps directly to the previous WH bookmark without scanning

I've not heard of it happening when theres been someone active in the system constantly but I'm not 100% sure on what factors influence it happening.

Tested and worked for me.

Definitely a bug that can occur during downtime. Had that once where it persisted for 4 days until we finally rolled it to get the expiration away from downtime.

Sounds like I should bookmark all the wormholes around my home place and then warp into them right after downtime...

Too bad that I am usually sleeping by the time of downtime...

Well first of, yo' d indeed be best to scan down all your sigs when you have the time. Know your home system, If you don't have intel on the incomming and outgoing WH's You' re putting yourself in unneeded risks.

Seconde, I've experienced this Bug as well. Has this already been petitioned to CCP by any of you?

Third, to start the timer you don't have to enter them, Hit warp to and having AURA say warp drive activated is enough to start the timer. But the pro tip here is get yourself a ship to close/role the likely wormholes in your system. Just so you can close unwanted incommings and role your static. Incase you knew all of this never mind me ;)

Happens indeed quite often, especially in whs with 24h statics.
