Without having to dock - is there an easy way to transfer drones from the cargo hold to the drone bay?

Be within range of a fitting service. Ie POS mod or Carrier.

Not possible. Easy or other wise without a fitting service.

You should be able to load drones from cargo bay.

Munitions user: "I ran out of ammo, time to go to the cargo bay"

Drone user: "My drones are destroyed, time to go to the carg.....wait...dock at station???? We'll....that's fair...wtf"

Its meant as a control, one of the downsides of drones being that they can be destroyed to counter that they don't run out of ammo. Being able to move them from cargo to drone bay would circumvent drone bay as a control. Doesn't make sense logically sure, but its best for balance.

Heh maybe they should've had 'hacking' be where when you've lost all drones, you can activate that hacking module and attempt to wrest control of one or more of your enemies drones to take their place :)

This would make sense if Drones didn't take up a **** ton of space compared to Ammo.
