EVE General Discussion

I have the privilege of reliving the enthusiasm with which new players take to Eve. I make a point to have a squad of noobs in my corp. Listening to them in corp chat and on comms... There is so much to do, so much to discover, so many ways to explode. Even the old mechanics that make old players like me yawn are new and fresh.

One of the things I find that I have to do is to remove the negativity and constricted thinking they have from listening to the scared old players of the noob corps who have told them to stay docked for five months while skilling, and that they should skill for a mackinaw and mine.

If I could go around and shoot every single one of them, I would. They are the ones that are killing the game for new players.

Fortunately, once the noobs have died a few times, and seen that two-three very low skilled rifters can, and even quite handily so, kill a Republic Fleet Stabber, this mentality of doom and limits from the npc corps go away.
