Not quite. BC V gave you maximum proficiency in flying any battlecruiser you could fly, but it was not the determining factor in what BCs those were. Now, BC works like any other T1 skill: it determines both which ships you can fly and how well you can fly them. The whole ship progression tree is made consistent.

Whether you could fly them or not is the key factor. What matters is ability, and ability is what's being maintained between Retribution and Odyssey. So no, it's not moot — quite the opposite. That's why they don't care about handing out billions of SP: because in the end, it's the ability (or not) to fly a given ship that matters.

…and that's exactly what the patch fixed, because that's how it worked and it made no sense. Instead of determining what BCs you can fly based on an irrelevant skill, it is now handled the same way all other hulls are handled: by a single skill per race. Before the patch, the knowledge was split between 5 skills — now, it's been turned into four skills with their logical and consistent prerequisites.

No they shouldn't, since that would defeat the purpose of tiercide and all the improvements that come with it. BCs and dessies are T1 hull skills. They are now treated as T1 hull skills rather than T2 skills. This makes the ship progression logical and consistent along the entire line of T1 ship classes.

There is absolutely no reason to keep the old system.

yes may be im stupid. but then i wait when they answer my petition and i will ask to remove that free sp that tey give to me http://i.imgur.com/PkJo8Ck.jpg becouse i cant fly it before and i cant fly it now it now and there no words about lvl1 or lvl2 frigs to have sp reimbursemet. so if im not right i wish to its sp point be removed.
so CCP answer my petition i will give you accounts name were it must be removed.

Those SP you had in Battlecruiser, which you got rightfully reimbursed. You weren't able to fly a BC, you're still not. Its as it should be. As has been explained to you multiple times.

Now you're even wrong in being a hair-splitter.

Just use the reimbursed skill point pool to add to the skills you want to have now, it will shorten everything quite a bit.

and pay CCP for other 3-month that tey stole no way man im done.

I was quite determined just know to just pound this stuff into your head until you get you're wrong, but i think I'll do what I always do when i reach an obstacle: Give up.
