I can solo reti's, coveters, and hulks in .5 and .6 no problem. My catalyst is getting about 680 dps overheated at the moment.

Edit: As stated above an alt warp in and scanner is needed if you plan on doing some good ganks. There is a lot of educated guessing involved. I have come across hulks with only 7k ehp before so they are out there.

I am just here to snuggle and do spy stuff.

Who says I'm anti New Order? I don't agree 100% with the NO, mainly because of the religious drivel your leader spouts, but I am totally against bots and people who don't want to get involved with social aspect of the game. If the NO was run like the Mafia and just extort people and drop all this pseudo religious nonsense It would have my backing.

This is where you carebears get lost. It has nothing to do with PvP. Yes it technically is a form of PvP; however, that's not why you gank. Most of the time it's for either tears, or profit. Yes, there is profit in ganking Exhumers. If you do it right and with a little luck from the salv loot fairy punk you can make quite a bit.

Solo hulk ganking is still highly viable. You just need to be smart. With salvage and loot, I always make my isk back and cause tears.
Its finding the hulks now that is the difficult part, as theyve seemed to have become antiquated.

Or you need to move around a bit. It still amazes me that you can revoke the undock license on a hulk - due to unlicensed mining - and 15 minutes later perform the same service on a retriever in the same belt. That retriever even warped out to the station to drop ore and came back to continue its illegal activities.

The problem of people not operating that many hulks is this:

Solo miners use Retrievers or Mackinaws, which, unlike Hulks, have better defenses, more modules and better chances for more defensive/mining rigging/fitting. You can't actually AFK mine in High-sec in a Hulk. If I look at my mining fleet, I mine about 1713m3 per laser per hulk. So that's 5140m3 of ore bumped into the Hulk's ore hold every 121.8seconds (Max Orca boost). Hulk has 8500m3 of Ore Hold.

Hulks are mostly used by people who run more than one mining barge, also have boosters and haulers ready at hand.

That's why you've seen a major decline in them. Because other mining barges have become better at AFK/minimal interaction mining.

Personally, I've watched AFK miners get blown up by NPC rats without intervening. I don't like AFK mining. I've never done it and never will. I log on each day to get to a magical number of 89mil of mined ore and go do other stuff (89x30=YxPLEX where Y is the number of accounts I own).

So yeah, thank CCP for giving you less vulnerable mining barges onto the market (compared to retriever, mack, and the others, Hulk is still the weakest of them all).

Being leader of high sec keeps James very busy. Additionally, James makes great strides in documenting as much as he can. So far this year, there have been more than 40 articles each month so far through May on Eve Online's Premier Mining Education Site.

Now imagine if James really did have an army of alts. Such an accusation would require that you truly do believe that the Supreme Protector has divine powers.

Either way, I certainly do hope that you accept James into your heart so that you may be saved.
