Wow Hate Ice Miners CCP ?

Seems like you are saying that you only played EVE to mine ice/make isk. On that note, have you looked at playing the markets? I hear you can make lots of isk with little time investment, if you know what you're doing.

No, I USED to pvp mostly and run incursions between ops...I have a tower to tinker with industry on alts and that's why I ice mined...but if you look me up on eve kill, you will see my pvp pretty much died off around this last fall b/c all my friends started getting bored of this game and half of them left...

And yes I'm mad, CCP keeps making promises for things then either not doing them or doing them half assed or whatever and is slowly killing their game. The incursion expansion was the busiest eve has been and it's been declining since b/c of all the ******** **** they keep doing...I LIKED EVE at one point but I'm getting really irritated with the direction they keep going...

They USED to have a decent balance for the hardcore and the casual, last couple years they've been listening to the hardcore and neglecting the casual, and even giving the casual the finger, which is where the majority of their money comes from...

Just look at the ******** **** that has happened in the last 2 years. They promised and worked on Incarna for 6 or 7 years then gave us a room then said, well that's all we're going to do, forget this ever happened. In that time they decided, well let's make an FPS that we're going to make people go buy a console to play, now PS2 is going to come out on the playstation (the only platform they released dust on) and it's going to kill any interest. If they had been smart, they would have released it for PC and actually had a pretty good response to it, they could have released it on console too, but didn't. At the same time they go broke because they flopped on Incarna and gave it up, while losing a **** ton of subscribers over the whole micro transaction bullshit leaked internal news letter and had to lay off a ton of people here and in the Atlanta office, who were working on another MMO that will probably never be released and wasted a **** ton of money there too. They have no direction and keep ******* **** up left and right...and EVE suffers because of it. They need to get their **** together, stop listening to the minority hardcore crowd and find a balance to keep the subs up or this is eventually going to go the way of SWG.

I wish Eve let you respec skills for Aurum or Plex

I max out my ice mining and all the mining skills for reprocessing without waste/etc...

I also have a job so get to play maybe 2 to 4 hours a night, and so far since patch I've found 1 ice belt, was able to get 10 chunks of ice before it was gone.

spent yesterday warping around in a shuttle 20 jumps and no luck... so being curious checking various forums there's a popular forum that linked to a botter site's forum where botters with 30+ are swarming them just just after server reboot and the new updated bot script has an automated timer when the last ice pops it starts and auto warps them when the ice anomaly respawns.

so the solo miner like I used to do is now gone. It sucks, yea, but I've moved on.

I do exploration now :) even in high sec it's more money than ice mining was anyhow, I made 60 million isk yesterday for 3 hours of high sec exploring, yesterday was a lucky romp but I made more doing hacking sites than I did doing level 4's yesterday :)



unless you bot, or run isboxer software and have your timer set and can play all day long or run the AFK script for isboxer you are pretty much screwed.

But even alts pay to play the game, so I'm not sure how you can say the game is being killed..?

I remember something CCP said at fanfest, that people like different playstyles, solo pvp, lazy ice mining, missions,...
and that's fine in their book.

Icemining was the ultimate lazy man playstyle, you sit there mining, while on your other screen you could watch some series or movies.

They didn't remove mining, but they removed one of those playstyles, a way some people like to play.

I'm not gonna rage or complain, i do other things in EVE, but i did unsub 3 of my accounts and play less now, that's a fact.
I know plenty of people who did the same.

Don't think CCP will feel it in the pocket that bad though, the new dualtraining feature is probably booming now.

Certainly gonna miss the lazy playstyle though, good times.

It gets stale and very lopsided when you don't have new blood. You get your money and resources (in game) concentrated in the pockets of older players and creates a barrier to entry for new players for the most part, which has already been happening, and they keep making it easier for that to continue and get worse. What fun is a game where most everyone is just an alt? Want an example? How about 90% of the time you get some pvp there's an alt doing OGB, be it for a fleet or solo. What fun is getting locked down way out of range of your target and no able to counter it unless you resort to bringing alts in....that's just an example though...

Besides, EVE has to be the most boring MMO on the market now. I've watched so many people just quit over the last couple years it's ridiculous. If they were doing so great then why did they effectively close the Atlanta studio and lay off a bunch of people in the Iceland office?

I have to Say I'm Very happy that Mining Scripts and Macro Miners Don't work with this new System. however as a Gamer whom can only log on for 4 or 5 hours a clip it makes the possibility of Mining Ice mostly impossible for me. This is where most of my income came from. all of a sudden my measly 75 million isk a week went down to almost Zero. Thanks CCP.

The new Stargate graphics are neat but ultimately are unneeded. A complete waste of CPU processing. WHY CCP WHY>?

Make POS fuel components with PI, you'll make about the same for less work. That's where my income came from, I mined to fuel a tower, sold the excess PI products for cash after I stopped running incursions.

I have lots of alts... i multibox..... but ice mining was WAY to easy to multibox.... it was broken before, now its fixed, be happy now you have work to do

also i am guessing most ice miners use ISBoxer... so these big fleets are just one guy probably most of times... or 2 ....

do faction warfare, you could do around 100 million an hour if you are a good farmer.... oh wait you could lose a 30 million isk ship... possible... and you migth start doing pvp... so dont do it..... because you hate that right?

(anyone can do 100 isk an hour you only need to know what you are doing.... and have enougth dps to kill one or two NPC... )

why waste graphics? because..... hmmm wait..., you have ships.... you have lasers.. nice colours..... so if this game looked like flate paper ships? would you play it..... tell me yes, then we can disregard all you opinions
