Seems like sensible changes. The removal of (a large part of) the spying metagame will take something away from the whole spectacle, but it also removes a lot of the tedium of covering team's practice and is probably for the best.

Can't wait for the tourney!

Well, we all know that POS passwords aren't always perfectly safe. I think this increases convenience while still setting the stage for an even bigger spying drama Twisted! I also see the opportunity for alliances to use this to weed out spies by giving out false passwords to pilots they suspect are spies..

First, I would like to say Thank You to CCP for acknowledging that Medals are a big part of the Alliance Tournament and that the lack of medals for ATX is going to be addressed. Thank you, I have not flown in ATX myself but I know a lot of my fellow alliance mates are going to be ecstatic to learn that their hard work and effort in ATX will be recognized by CCP and rewarded with in-game medals. Thank You.

Secondly, I would like to say that I am a big fan of e-sport and EvE's Alliance Tournaments are hell of a fun. The creation of a cup that immortalizes the winners of all AT winners is a fantastic idea and will be a great boon for EvE and e-sport community. Way to go, two thumbs up.

That is great to hear kind sir! The cup should be quite epic and do the rich legacy of the Alliance Tournament justice!

Ok all ATX medals have now been handed out. We gave them to the pilots who participated in the final matches for their teams, dropped in their hangar in their home station.

Because we didn't have a third place match, both of the semi-final losers got Bronze Medals.

I love what you have done with the test server. I do have one questions about the password protection: are we able to change the password if we find out it has been compromised? If so, what happens to the pilots that no longer have the correct password?

The way I currently have it set up on my personal test server is like such:
- If you try to jump into the system with the wrong password it'll tell you it's full.
- If you log into the system with the wrong password it'll tell you it's full and offer to move you next door.

So if the captain changes the password, anyone currently logged in and in system will remain, but the next time they jump/logout they'll be unable to come back in.

Hopefully that's good enough 'cause I've spent way too much time on this already Blink

Sounds good. I like the changes for the AT, although "in Alliance" change has left me out of the AT.Sad Better in the long run.

I have been talking with people and saying that I thought that CCP was going to close the system for practice on Duality. Nice to see I was correct.

I had a few questions though.

1 ) Can non alliance members be allowed in? Teams may have alts and such that are used for practice that may not be in the alliance so having pilots outside the alliance be able to access the server/system is important.

2) How is CCP going to handle which team is in what system? I figure that CCP will just assign a stocked system.

1) Alliance membership is not a part of it, it's only based on password.
2) Probably randomly or something.
