Whilst I have sent off a petition, I was just wondering if anyone had been in the same position I have been?

Around a week or so ago I started a trial account for eve, but couldn't get the client to download so forgot about it.

Last night, I signed up a new account (not remembering what my old account was) and today played it almost for a full 12 hours!

When I went to pay for the full account subscription though, by some rhyme or reason, I actually logged into the first account and paid up a full month on that!

I was wondering if there was a way to either transfer credit or characters across from the account I am on to the new account, or if I am just going to have to start over again :(

Feel abit like an idiot but want to get this sorted as I am very keen to keep playing - and this would be a significant set back!

There is a way to transfer characters. I think it will cost you a bit though. Look around in account management.

Character transfer has to be done between two full and active accounts so you'll have ot pay for the second one too as well as there being an account transfer fee on top of that.

I suggest using the account you paid for from here on in and using it as a way to correct the mistakes you might have made on the you played on.

A petition to billing should be able to help get the game time transferred, but I wonder if it's really worth it. Unless you're particularly attached to that 12-hour-old character, I'd stick with the characters on the account that you've activated. The GMs are usually helpful regarding new subscriptions.

Best wishes for your in-game future!

Dear Joel Marcus,

This sounds indeed a bit unfortunate. You can file a petition but I cannot guarantee you any success.

You might also consider just playing on and harnessing your experience from playing EVE already a bit. You can have fun and exciting times for years and years to come!

In some unrelated advice I would recommend you to band together with other players and/or joining a good player corporation. This can increase your fun and learning experience a lot.
