Well we could do a 50 man cruiser FFA with every person participating in the same fleet.

It would be fun to commentate and there would be lots of explosions.

Only logistical issue I can see is that you would have to move dudes in one by one and switch off the tourney UI but its not like you would need to check everyone for implants or fittings either

Yes, please. I actually think my idiots could get their **** together for something a lot more rag-tag like this than an actual tournament!

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

Lol. That isn't going to happen. Tso's is far too incompetent and terrible at this game to ever be in the alliance tournament.

Plus we are running low on rich members to bankroll things as expensive as the alliance tournament since Manalapan had a mental breakdown and ragequit Eve.

this idea sounds fairly amazing.
from what im gathering though there would only be a couple of these match's. just an idea might be to pick some more unheard of high sec alliance (if any applied) to give some different people a chance a deathmatch such as this.
as fun as it would be to see 12 titans DDing the crap out of each other, i think a ragtag group of cruisers/battlecruisers would be more fun....to play or watch.
just my opinion. either this is an amazing idea and should be done every year from now!!

This could be interesting.

If you have teams submitting a fixed ship list you could have a CCP employee select the team match ups. Just print out the ship lists for each team and don't put the team names on them. That way the selection would be based on the most entertaining fight.

No prizes, it is suppose to be entertaining and fun and if there is a prize then people would be out to win it. Now if the prize was for the most entertaining team/match then things would be a bit better. Also make sure the prize is not worth gaming over, maybe an in game medal?

Taking the top groups from various areas known for "Elite small gang PVP" like Syndicate, Curse, lowsec, etc and putting them into an arena for a big multi-way fight would be interesting, but likely hard to do with varying timezones.

WOW, that's an EPIC idea. Take pivotal cornerstones in the EVE Online history & bring them back to life throughout different stages of a bracketed tournament. That would be interesting. Would be interesting to see some people get a taste of how it was back before warp to 0 & the Nos nerf.
