what is the purpose of passengers i have looked an found nothing other than the description,dogs,freedome,fighters,slaves,dancers? weapons an vehicle's as well..what ar thay for other than missions? keeping dust merks at bay may be?Evil i have them an have no use for them selling them seem's pointless..help me out plzUgh

Stockpile them in your Items Hangar and let them flourish.

Seriously, I don't know either. I remember a forum thread about people wanting to "free slaves". At the moment, they are sitting in our sales hanger - probably plotting escape or wondering why they are detained without charge.

I thought the value of passengers was pretty obvious. I mean it's PROBABLY only a matter of time before we are able to deliver them to dust players for target practice.

Seriously though, the real value is this: several missions require you to turn in these items. several other missions give extra of these items than is required. Some poeple sometimes get these items stolen (or their ship carrying that cargo gets destroyed) by other players who scan them down. And some few of these lot are willing to pay a ransom by contract, or buy someone elses surplus by contract, than leave a mission uncompleted because of the lack of the item.

They are used for corp jokes, contests, silly stuff, and canbait as well. Other than all this, I'm not sure they have a great use, and have always been too worried that the volume traded to buyers far outways the profit margin/movement of items sold by sellers to get involved in trading them. It appears very lucrative at times, but I typically don't trade in things I don't need/use for my own purposes (as the ultimate safegaurd to getting stuck holding the inventory). One things for sure, if I was a "passenger" I definitely wouldn't want to find myself in a pod-pilot's inventory. :-)
