Hopefully you can put the dudes that decide to field supers against each other, would you have any control at all in terms of having team x fight team y based on what comps they bring?

Maybe there could be some sort of application process where teams could submit what setup they plan on using a few days before the finals, that way, you could screen the applications so that we'd only see the best fights possible, using your tourney experience you could pair up the teams that you expect to be the closest/fun match, otherwise there might be too many white washes

To guarantee that people bring what they tell you and show up with it, you could have some sort of plex requirement to be considered to get rid of any potential time waster

This is exactly what we are looking for input on. This is something we want to do for the community so we want the community to have input on how we do this. I like this idea a lot!

As for the number of matches. Essentially we will look at how many matches we have slots for and then look at how many teams we have volunteering to take part. If we have 4 lists of 12 people ready to take part we will do 2 matches.

We won't necessarily place an alliance requirement on this match in the sense of you having to be in the alliance, but the team would be an alliance team and you would simply have to convince the participating volunteer alliance to let you fly with them.

I think that best solves this issue and allows for interested individuals with deep pockets that don't belong to an alliance to take part should they want to wave their epeen a bit.

Well.... No holds barred? I guess the best way to tackle this question is with more questions. Do you think cloaked black ops should be allowed? If so, on what grounds? What will it add/subtract from the entertainment value of the match? What potential problem do you see with allowing it?

I would like to stress that we don't want to be the guys on this that just straight up hand you the rules. By posting in this thread you are helping us create the rules for this. At this time, there are very few rules that we have thought about and that is where you guys come in.

My problem with this situation is two-fold.

The natural part of the game where Super Caps are win buttons is going to come out. Then they're going to meet in an unwieldly stalemate scenario.

It's going to be basically impossible to kill a group of supers in under 15 minutes, not to mention 10.

I would LOVE to see a Super die on live EVE TV on TQ, don't get me wrong.

So, this is what I recommend.

A) You can field ONE Titan and ONE Supercarrier max.
B) You can not field Triage carriers.

Other than that, it is a complete no-ships barred exhibition match.

I like the idea that the Exhibition match may not be restricted to Tournament teams.

Make it a separate PLEX Fee if they are accepted to the Exhibition Match based on a submitted setup. The setups would be published and unchangeable after they are paired up (per the recommendation above).

That published setup can be used as marketing material to promo the event.

I.E. "Come watch us at 1800 Saturday for the Exhibition match featuring Rote Kappelle VS RvB fielding 4 Supercaps, 10 carriers, blah, blah"

12 team 4 man battle royale would be a bit more entertaining and also a lot harder to game.

I like where this idea is heading and I feel most people are on the same page with not allowing or encouraging 12 v 12 titan match and triage carriers.

Also not out of the question is to do a PLEX pool for the teams participating and having the winner take all? Yes? No?

12 team 4 man battle royale would be a bit more entertaining and also a lot harder to game.

It would also be a logistical nightmare to manage on our end haha Shocked

I would rather want it without a prize. So the purpose is the fight itself and only that.

We have seen in the earlier ATs that if the outcome of a match didn't matter, then people would sometimes bring pure comedy stuff. If there is a prize, there is just someone who will do something lame to get the prize.
