Jita bigger mess than usual

I was docked in Jita last night and the number of players was simply manic.

Now I can't log in because the system is so full that no new connections are being accepted. I don't want to be spawned in some other system from where I need to haul from.

One universe- I don't think so when it comes to Jita- capacity for that system needs a rethink or even think about spreading the major trade hub among a number of systems.

Well, a couple of years ago Jita would cap out with half the numbers we see today. So there is significant progress. As far as spreading out the major trade hub among a number of systems, that would be up to the player base.

I'm all for that notion, so get to work player base :)

I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

Funny thing is, someday Jita will be inaccessible for human players since the node is completely filled with market- and scambots. Twisted

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

From what I remember, Jita is already on it's own reinforced node at all time so the limit is going to be similar to reinforced nodes elsewhere.

As for spreading teh trade hub, well it could happen but people seem to be attached to the way trade hubs work right now.

I still propose that everybody entering Jita gets a number and when the system is full and someone new wants to enter it, the one with the lowest number gets booted to a random neighbouring system in a random station.

That way everyone with short business in Jita can get in and the system hogs and bots get out.

It wasn't particularly had to log into jita. You just have to keep trying for a few seconds.

If you mash that logging button harder, you can get a crit log-on and it kick gives a closed socket error to a random person to let you in.

1. If they manage to increase server capacity, people will just max out the new capacity and then moan that they need to increase capacity, ad infinitum.

2. CCP didn't designate Jita the main trade hub, we did. It would be up to us to spread it out.

2. Press ENTER on failure.
3. Repeat from 1 until you enter system.

Takes maybe 5-10 seconds to get into Jita at its peak times.

Some cell phone systems are run this way. A new person makes a call, whoever has been on the longest gets dropped.

On Tuesday it took me 10 minutes, maybe 100 tries, to get in.

If CCP improved the software and hardware to the point where it could support 600,000 pilots at once this would not happen. It could not happen as there are not that many active subscriptions.

All the spam already happens in a radius 3 jumps out of Jita when it's full.

New target lock death animation problem #1 ^ eye strain and pain Temporary workaround found to one of these.

Hmm...seems like this thread could have been avoided by not going to Jita.

Nope. cant happen. CCP forces you to use jita apparently.

I wonder why I myself have never once been to Jita.... Hmmmm.
