Will tech 2 ever be the same?

With all the `re-balancing` of late I find myself having a difficult time justifying my path through eve.. I enjoy this game immensley, the gameplay has always been highly addfictive..Smile
However with the buffs to t1 and navy ships in odyssey coupled with nerfs to many tech 2 variants, I feel eve is dangerously close to becoming `vannilla` its scarcley worth flying ships like the absolution when for example navy harbinger can do the job with virtualy the same ehp/dps and a tracking bonus to boot.. just 1 example.. it seems to be the case for pretty much all hac`s, logistics and field command ships.. in my opinion considering the huge difference in skills needed and cost the performance should reflect this! more so than slightly better resists.. and even those are being gradualy whittled away..Ugh
The point of eve when I started playing is that its a HARD game (thats what i liked about it).. by allowing relative noobys to have access to ships wich out perform their tech 2 variants not only irritates the long term players but makes for a less challenging experience for the new players.. will they still be here in 10 years time?
Personaly i don`t much fancy vannilla.. I`d prefer gleaming gold and blood red armor coated death rays burning my retinas out!
So CCP u buffed af`s when are we likley to see the rest of our tech 2 scrap-heap overhauled?

T2 ships are worth flying for their resists alone

But I think they'll get rebalancing them eventually

go watch the TMC interview with fozzy, that might answer your question. he talks about the power difference between t1 and t2, and the rebalancing in general.

i don't care if it's tmc, it's a good interview

T1 was all done first to set the benchmark for how the T2 variations will be done up.

Keep your pants on, the only other T1 ships they might touch are industrials and capitals and seeing as how they are making wide sweeping changes to several categories at once they'll probably cover all the pirate faction ships and a big handful of T2 frigates by Odyssey 1.1.

Odyseey 1.2 or [Winter Expansion] 1.0 will then likely cover any frigate classes they might have missed and take care of all T2 cruisers and BCs and if we're lucky the black ops and marauders too.

T3s will be last to ensure that all the other roles, both T1 and T2 are well defined so that the T3 can be balanced around not stepping on anyone's toes the way they do now to CSes.

This appears plausible.

Although I really hope they don't nerf T3s into the ground, I mean come on, who actually uses a T3 as a swiss army knife as they intended? For the price tag you may as well just buy a full hangar of T2s if they're not the OP boats they are now.
