Hey all,

I've tried my best to search through this thread, but it's pretty long. My apologies if it has already been reported.

There's been a long standing issue with corporate courier contracts where if you have more than 100 contracts in progress, you will only be able to deliver the last 100 accepted via the right click > deliver courier contract menu. For example, if you accept 120 contracts, you will not be able to deliver the first 20 accepted until you deliver at least 20 other contracts that you've already accepted after those initial 20. The right click > find contract option does not work either. Both options give you a message that the character does not have access to the contract or it cannot be found or etc. When you are using multiple characters to move large numbers of courier contracts to different systems, this can be a hassle.

As of the Odyssey, this issue seems to have manifested itself in a weird way. Now, when you accept more than 100 contracts over some time period, the same thing happens, but those contracts that get 'stuck' and cannot be delivered by the right click menu whatsoever, as above. They can be completed via the courier menu system (My Contracts, complete button) but this new bug is causing significant issues for our organization. This has happened both times I've made courier contract runs since the expansion hit, but I'm unsure as to the exact step to reproduce.

I realize that this is probably a corner case for the number of people that operate in this kind of scale in EVE, but what we do affects a large number of people waiting for their courier contracts.

If this could be addressed, it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have filed this as bug number 160888

Fun fact: You can move your user data folder to another drive.

All of you complaining that log files are being written to your SSD instead of an HDD should probably have put your user folder on the HDD instead.

One of the new hackable ruins in the "regional sansha data fortress" (I think that's the name) is located inside the ruined station and it's impossible to get close enough to hack it.

Maybe I just couldn't figure it out but I tried for awhile. Thx!

Fun fact about contracts: You' can no longer make them out of a corp hangar in station (right-click menu on a selected object no longer has the option) Edit: Okay, this is being fixed, cool.

Fun fact about SSDs, re: above post, it doesn't really matter unless your SSD is literally filled with data and has no TRIM support. SSDs handle small random IOPS heaps better than a regular HDD anyways.

When I have my blockade runners within 2000m of each other they now cause each other to decloak. A change was made sometime ago that cloaked ships would not cause each other to decloak. Has this been changed back or is it a bug? Did not see anything listed about this being changed back.

System overlay blocks the acceleration gate icon in space for FW plexes (I am assuming other warp-able acceleration gates with beacons on them).

You can no longer right-click your ship in hangar to repair/leave/etc.

I've heard that the Navy Arbitrator returns the T1 version from the blueprint as well as the faction variant upon job comletion.

Some times when i click jump to the next gate of my destination, my ship is pulling back and jumping into previous gate. First i thought it was me clicking the wrong gate, but then i double checked it - it really happens.

I can confirm that this happened to me yesterday also. I was so confused about what was happening, I didn't want to be the first person to report it. But when I'd jump into a system, Id arrive 15km from the next gate I needed to jump through. It took 2 or 3 jumps for me to realize that I think I was going in circles and jumping through the same gate. When you're on a long trip, you know the routine: select the next gate and click the jump button. When you have to start navigating 15km to the next gate something's amiss. It happened 2-3 times and then no issues since.

And I too have now been plagued by the black screen of death. I played all day yesterday and didn't see this bug once. Then tonight it happened and I finally saw what its about. Black screen, but the overview, planet, station, belt icons, etc. are still visible. I redocked and it reset. Then about 30 mins later it happened again. I redocked and undocked at least 5 times and it did not reset then. I had to restart the client (and the computer just to be sure.) And so far, so good.

I've been hearing a lot of reports in the Help chat that people are no longer able to board freighters after the expansion due to them not having Advanced Spaceship Command 5.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Thank you for the notice.

i've allowed EVE to have access again to the folder "Documents\EVE\logs" , and just in case to the directory "C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility\cache\Pictures\Characters" too and it really worked: NOW EVE RUNS WELL at the right FPS and with normal CPU usage...

but i've not bought a Samsung SSD840 PRO 240Mb to let it went degraded by tons of useless (for me they are useless) log files... sorry but no. I've, like many other SSD users, an HDD too where for example i've set all System, User and IE Tempfiles, also pagefile is on the HDD (it never went used at all).

let us decide if we want to to store these files like cache characters avatars and logs, or in any case at least let the user, your customer, to decide the path where to have those logs and cache stored, in this manner SSD users can prevent SSD degrade by setting these junk to the HDD.

Please do it, and thank you.

Looks like someone is heavily underestimating the durability of an SSD and heavily overestimating how much data EVE is writing compared to the OS and everything else in general.

The probe move up and down, and not stopping
You can see it there on the top left --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGH6qxlZl94
Anyone knows how to stop that ??

Undocking seems to be faster than a session change.
So if you dock, change ship/reload/offload cargo and click undock, it will run trough the undock sequence and then throw an error message due to session timer being active, and you have to click again.

I have an issue now that, after about the 2nd or 3rd time I undock, the spacescape will not load. After a session change, say jumping a gate, it will return. Catch is, i cannot change camera angles. Tried clearing cache. Only fix for now is to relog.
Only thing i see after undocking in this state is the bracket profile. Station environ loads fine, but can't see anything in space.

Please at least allow us to set windows to not snap at all instead of making it the biggest default distance. There are already way to many windows open on my UI and not beeing able to set them up properly without them sticking to the neighbouring window and resizing in the process is absolutly horrible.

Was just abouyt to say check your Esc menu, but then i went and checked and it looks like the option to set snap distance(or
set it to do not snap at all) has somehow vanished, either that or i am truly getting old ...

So since i still have my old behaviour, that is my windows do not snap, the setting must clearly still be in there somewhere but where do you actually set it now ?

My update stalled at 3/4 Applying the patch at 100%.

I've tried the repair tool through the launcher (fail), the repair tool direct from the game directory (with and without anti-virus (fail) and modifying the common.ini file to show the previous EVE version (fail).

Any suggestions to help me out before I resort to a complete client download from scratch?

oh all those little things :)

- Tracking option stuck until i press c in space
- Zooming out in space and then dock/undock doesn't keep my ship zoomed out but resets it to a default so i have to zoom out again (which is annoying when done 10's of times a day)
- Undcking takes way to long. Undocking as it is should be optional.
- Ow and a wish: Use escape to close windows and some other key for the config.

that's it for now

LOW-FPS WORKAROUD - SOLVED

according on what CCP Habakuk said about this issue affecting mainly SSD users:

CCP Habakuk wrote:
For those with extremely low fps: Are you somehow preventing the client from writing combat log files to disk? This might explain your issues. Please do not restrict the client in this way.

and the solution (workaround) with Symlink:

Lursider wrote:
yup, I was preventing eve writing on my SSD (you know why ...).

I removed this restriction and now everything work fine !!!!

by the way, is there a way to stop this perpetual writing ?

WTF ?

i've also blocked EVE to write some cache directories, just because i take care of my SSD... I've also one 1Tb HDD

1) CCP could you please STOP this perpetual and stupid write,
2) or LET US CHOOSE the PATH where to store the cache?!

I'm about to let again EVE to write in my SSD, if it was the problem with the poor performance 4 FPS, i'll be very angry, with you CCP of course.

I will not play a game which will seriously degrade mt SSD840 PRO 240Gb performance!
so do something about this, 1 or 2.

I cannot give you an official answer at the moment, but maybe following workaround might help you: For 2) you can redirect the logs to a folder on your HDD by using a symlink. This is also not really officially supported (as far as I can tell), but it seems to work and I cannot see any drawbacks so far (I am sure, that anybody will correct me on this).

I've created a post in the Forum Issues, Workarounds & Localization at this link

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3155285

where I explain how to create a Symlink (to address EVE logs and characters cache to an HDD or a RAMDRIVE) and get your SSD gratefull

now comes the nuts part:
while filing the report and flying around for logserver input my fps went up to 130 on minimum details in space, 300+ in station... later tested on everything maxed, HDR on etc... 60 fps in space on a single core 2,1 ghz machine, 2 GB ram and a GTS450 1GB ?
I mean, my system is at the lower end of the minimum system requirements and i had massive issues till the past 30 minutes... i simply dont get how i'm able to max everything now where i had to set everything to minimum in the past (since incarna i think). Any explanation on that?

Alright, just narrowd it down to *drum roll* Teamspeak 3.
Connecting to a TS3 server drops my fps down to constantly 5-15 again (from 50-60+ !) with heavy lags... this wasn't the case before Odyssey, TS3 didnt cause any noticable effects on performance back than.

Can anyone having fps issues and a more up-to-date Hardware check this and post results please?

[edit] long story on the crap i had from eve in the doc and appdate folder before i learned of the /LUA:OFF command

now i use the option /LUA:OFF on the shortcut with will force eve to use the install folder for most of the cashe files and stuff but.....while it works for now i dunno if CCP still supports this command and for how long
