Hey there,

I've problems creating a new character under linux. I can go forward until the character creation screen and I'm also able to see all tools and such. But the body/face of my new character is just not showing up. I'm only able to see the background.
It seems my character has cloaking on V by default and using covert ops cloaking device :-/

Any hints?

Thanks in advance

Did you try checking the "Low Quality Characters" Option in the ESC Menu? Or the other Character options like hair simulation or texture quality?
Worked previously or is this the first time you are running EVE on Linux?

Which wine version, GFX Card and driver version are you using?

Hm - I played a bit around with the settings with no luck. After that I reset all the settings, restarted the client and voila - character is showing up...

Thanks!

I noticed this too, while creating an alt.

At first, the character model doesn't display, but you know it's there because if you hover the mouse where the actual body/face is supposed to be, you can see your cursor changing into the violet "muscle handles" that modify the structure of your doll.

I found that if you add some clothes to the avatar - any cloth really, be it jacket, shirt, pants, whatever - and thus you trigger a redraw of the model, you can see him/her in all the glory it's supposed to be seen.

Probably the first drawing of the shape isn't correctly triggered under WINE.

Actually I had the same bug under windows. Not sure what fixes it.
