Greetings fellow Capsuleers!

I apologize for the short notice announcement as we had wanted to get this out sooner, but were waiting for the AT XI rules to be released, after discussing it this weekend we are ready to make our announcement.

Captains looking at competing should send an EVEmail to Ben Booley or Seldarine as soon as possible to guarantee consideration.

So we will start with the rules and format changes below.

Rules and Format Changes

Our original rules can be found on the SCL tournament site, but we have not yet updated the Rules page to reflect our changes. This is something that is currently being worked on by our web admin member and will hopefully be updated soon.

First off, we will be mimicking the Alliance Tournament XI point set for the SCL4, they are located here: AT XI Rules

  • Battleship, Pirate Faction - 20
  • Marauder – 19
  • Battleship, Navy Faction - 19
  • Battleship - 17
  • Black Ops Battleship - 17
  • Command Ship - 16
  • Strategic Cruiser – 16
  • Recon Ship – 14
  • Battlecruiser, Navy Faction – 14
  • Battlecruiser (Including Gnosis) – 13
  • Logistics Cruiser - 13
  • Cruiser, Faction - 12
  • Heavy Assault Cruiser - 12
  • Heavy Interdictor – 12
  • Tech 1 Support Cruiser - 10
  • Cruiser - 7
  • Bomber - 5
  • Electronic Attack Frigate - 5
  • Frigate, Faction - 4
  • Assault Frigate – 4
  • Tech 1 Disruption Frigate - 4
  • Interdictor - 3
  • Interceptor - 3
  • Destroyer - 3
  • Tech 1 Industrial Ships - 3
  • Frigate - 2

Currently we will allow most (+4,5,&6%) implants as cost is non prohibitive on the test server, pirate implants will continue to not be allowed. This is subject to change as we figure out if CCP Fozzie will have the implant scanner updated for AT XI in time for SCL 4.

We will also continue to utilize CCP Fozzies awesome ability to increase TiDi for tiebreakers.

As well, we have increased the amount of teams from 8 to 10 in an effort to bring fresh teams into the competition and potentially shake up the meta.

As for the specific match rules:

Teams will be limited to TWO (2) of a given shiptype. This applies to specifically named ships only, and not ship hulls. For example, 2 Merlins, 2 Hawks, and 2 Harpies would be legal.

In an effort to limit the usage of tinkertanks we have elected to only allow one energy transfer array per team to be fit to a logistics hull only.

We feel these changes are an exciting addition to SCL4, both the viewers and competitors. And with the inclusion of the AT XI points should make for an exciting hybrid of the AT and SCL.

Sponsorship and Advertising

Interested in a commercial spot broadcasted to the masses during the SCL? Want our commentators to give you or your corporation a shoutout live and on the air? Interested parties can contact Seldarine for more details and pricing structure. Isk from all types of sponsors will be put towards ensuring prizes are paid out to the teams (and paying off the debts we incurred last weekend!).

All isk transactions will now take place using the Syndicate Competitive League Inc. [SYNCL] corporation wallet. Be sure to match that exactly, and note that the current CEO is Bob Booley.

Commentary

Ever considered being a commentator? Think you have what it takes? The SCL staff is looking for one more voice to bring on board. Applicants need to demonstrate ample PvP experience, and a high level of past tournament participation is recommended. The ability to commit to both days of the weekend and multiple SCL dates is requested, and it is also asked that you not participate in the SCL in any way should you opt to become a commentator-we don't want active competitors "in the booth". Contact Seldarine for details.

Be sure to tune into the Syndicate Competitive League Twitch.tv channel. Or head over to the SCL website to check out the teams, rules, bracket schedule, and sponsor information.

Follow us on Twitter for all the updated information @SyndicateCL

Like us out on Facebook!

And chat in-game by joining the chat channel "SCL Chat" without the quotes or by logging into Twitch.tv to livechat with us during the tournament. (Hint: we will also be giving out prizes to our viewers so be sure to come chat with us!)

Thanks for your time and we hope you will enjoy SCL4 on 22-23 June! See you then!

Does this include 6% and named (6%+ implants)?

Also, your rule for energy transfers only applies to logi hulls? so i can have any other ship with as many ETs as I want?

P.S. you haven't mentioned any change to the point pool to compensate for the extra pilots. Are we still capped at 70 points?

Doesn't the Alliance tournament allow 3 of each ship? Also what about energy transfers on non Logi?

Thanks for catching these and for reminding me why late night posting isn't a good idea for me.

6% implants are as of now allowed but is subject to change pending further discussion among the SCL Staff.

I updated the rules portion to better reflect our intent regarding ETs. Only ONE ET will be allowed per team and that ONE ET must be fit to a logi hull.

We will have to discuss changes in the point pool and I will update you as I receive more information.

AT does allow 3 but with 12 players on the field. SCL only allows 8 players on the field.

Teams will still be made up of 8 pilots with 4 alternates and we will be keeping the 70 cap as we are still at 8 man teams.

So your original post of bumping teams up to 10 pilots is no longer the case?

I apologize if you misunderstood me but we never bumped the number of pilots per team up, we bumped the number of teams up. SCL1-3 featured 8 teams of 8 pilots each. SCL4 will feature 10 teams of 8 pilots each..

Please see the Eve Search thread for the original, unedited post (I never edited that portion of the post).

Thanks

I am quite shocked there hasn't been an official post made to announce we are postponing the SCL4 until after Alliance Tournament XI.

So yeh, SCL 4 will be sometime after the AT.

Everyone else organising the SCL (apart from Elendar I hope cos he is terribad) is either commentating for the AT or part of a team for the AT, so it was decided democratic style to postpone.

I apologize if this is actually the first official announcement from us to this effect, and I hope you all have a great AT and come back to us after!

PS. I am too terrible to commentate and in too poor and low skilled an alliance to compete in this AT, but if any other ATXI teams wanna let me inflict my setups upon them I'd love to get in contact with you and help you do better than you probably hoped you'd be able to do!
