Another fail! Who told you it is unused? We put with that option over 2000 contracts per month. How shall we do that now? With the funneh crappy Contracts page? That would take 5 times longer. A corp hangar in a station has to have that, since you might want to sell stuff for your corporation or put stuff on contract for your corporation, on large numbers is otherwise useless, so put it immediately back, please. Ever thought about jita stations and people putting stuff there for their corp???

It says corp hangar array/personal hangar array (POS modules), not station corp hangars.

yup, I was preventing eve writing on my SSD (you know why ...).

I removed this restriction and now everything work fine !!!!

by the way, is there a way to stop this perpetual writing ?

WTF ?

i've also blocked EVE to write some cache directories, just because i take care of my SSD... I've also one 1Tb HDD

1) CCP could you please STOP this perpetual and stupid write,
2) or LET US CHOOSE the PATH where to store the cache?!

I'm about to let again EVE to write in my SSD, if it was the problem with the poor performance 4 FPS, i'll be very angry, with you CCP of course.

I will not play a game which will seriously degrade mt SSD840 PRO 240Gb performance!
so do something about this, 1 or 2.

I cannot give you an official answer at the moment, but maybe following workaround might help you: For 2) you can redirect the logs to a folder on your HDD by using a symlink. This is also not really officially supported (as far as I can tell), but it seems to work and I cannot see any drawbacks so far (I am sure, that anybody will correct me on this).

Thank you for the notice.

i've allowed EVE to have access again to the folder "Documents\EVE\logs" , and just in case to the directory "C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility\cache\Pictures\Characters" too and it really worked: NOW EVE RUNS WELL at the right FPS and with normal CPU usage...

but i've not bought a Samsung SSD840 PRO 240Mb to let it went degraded by tons of useless (for me they are useless) log files... sorry but no. I've, like many other SSD users, an HDD too where for example i've set all System, User and IE Tempfiles, also pagefile is on the HDD (it never went used at all).

let us decide if we want to to store these files like cache characters avatars and logs, or in any case at least let the user, your customer, to decide the path where to have those logs and cache stored, in this manner SSD users can prevent SSD degrade by setting these junk to the HDD.

Please do it, and thank you.

Tried it? doesn't work :P So they bugged it or didn't make a difference

PS: seems a bug according to the others here, hope is fixed soon.

ok its all back to normal. logs was already ticked from the fresh install fps is still 0.4, overcloaking graphics card also had no effect to increasing fps.

graphics card cpu is running at 3%
pc cpu is running at 60-70%
RAM is running at 20-25%

I saw CCP Karkur in help chat earlier and I believe she confirmed that this was a bug. It should be fixed relatively soon.

Yes, this is a bug (yeah, partially my fault Oops) and I have already tested the fix for it. It should come to Tranquility soon (hopefully next downtime).

You need an integration test for this one, it got broken in the 2010.12.01 optional patch too :P

I dubt fresh installs delete the folders in object, maybe detele the files yes, but you should be sure to have this folder deleted or you have to go manually change security to restore default access status so EVE can write again.

the folder is: Documents\EVE\logs

if you don't know how to proceed to restore access to EVE through security menu, then unistall EVE, delete Documents\EVE folder and proceed to install again, it should work

CCP please be aware SSD users are very disappointed!

Please at least allow us to set windows to not snap at all instead of making it the biggest default distance. There are already way to many windows open on my UI and not beeing able to set them up properly without them sticking to the neighbouring window and resizing in the process is absolutly horrible.

Some times when i click jump to the next gate of my destination, my ship is pulling back and jumping into previous gate. First i thought it was me clicking the wrong gate, but then i double checked it - it really happens.

All i did for scotayne hawkins was drag his log file onto his desktop so eve regenerated a new log file his FPS was at 30-40 fps which he seemed happy with.

yes it could work in such cases, the way to prohibite EVE to write files in that folders are more than 1 and different, in general manually deleting the folder in object Always work

To file the petition, what logs exactly do you need? (filed one with DXdiag logs yesterday on my alt, its still open afaik).

The logs get attached automatically when filing a bug report from the client (F12 and then "Report bug"). They are unfortunately not added automatically to petitions.

Ah misread O.o
Just sent the bug report...

now comes the nuts part:
while filing the report and flying around for logserver input my fps went up to 130 on minimum details in space, 300+ in station... later tested on everything maxed, HDR on etc... 60 fps in space on a single core 2,1 ghz machine, 2 GB ram and a GTS450 1GB ?
I mean, my system is at the lower end of the minimum system requirements and i had massive issues till the past 30 minutes... i simply dont get how i'm able to max everything now where i had to set everything to minimum in the past (since incarna i think). Any explanation on that?

There is no longer any setting to activate the visual "session timer" indicator on the upper left corner.

Its not in patch notes either.

edit: clarifying, the session timer is visible when jumping, but not on docking/undocking like it used to be. Also a setting value allowed one to choose to make it visible or not.
