No, the motion sickness problem of jumping is a bigger issue, but this one is annoying.

The undock button hasn't been removed, though, so the analogy is invalid.

The only sensible thing you've noted so far. There are certainly a wide variety of features open to better customisation in this game.

The only two groups that could possibly be disconcerted by this for more than a couple of days are either mindless bots, or mindless players.

Which group are you in? Blink

Who is this directed at? Me as the OP?

Perhaps I don't like change for change sake, perhaps I don't like moving my cursor across the whole screen vs. keeping it on the left side of the screen, perhaps when on the icon bar i could move it where i wanted, perhaps I am left handed and its easier for me where it was, perhaps as with operating systems (windows start button) a major function being in the same location makes for a sense of similar, perhaps I just don't like it and any other reason is my own.

Perhaps... your thought process is mindless.

For many, the Undock button died soon as the patch went live...never forget.

+1 there is no reason to remove the jump button from the bottom left. Also need the loading bar back as the red flashing light is near invisible and it looks like my screen is frozen each time I undock.

New position is more logical. Keep it!

I agree that it takes time to get used to it, but you will...

Why not both locations?

As a protest I will NOT use the new undock button, rather I will go to my Captains quarters, slide out the window (since the door doesn't work), shimmy around the edge to the docking clamp and hand crank the door open THEN fly out. Yes it will make a 5 second undock take 2 hours, but I'm dedicated like that.

That will teach CCP to mess with the damn UI!

Why does it matter where the undock button is? Really? Just click it and be on your merry way instead of complain about it.

For those that never undock this is not a problem, myself I was truly stumped last night when I went to undock and the button was gone.

I suspect in due time I will get used to this new feature, but it is like jumping into a car with righthand drive.

You mean like rioting over $70 monocles? At least you could choose not to buy those. You can't choose to put your undock back where it should be. The point of the discontent is not that it was moved, it's that it was removed when it really didn't need to be moved. There is far more stuff that needs to be sorted than moving the undock button's position. How about giving us the option to merge corp.hangers in to the station UI? At least that would be a practical change.

This isn't a hugely big deal but it really is a bit annoying.

The undock button was perfectly fine the way it was. Someone at CCP just thought it would be cool to move it so they can have their pointless CQ button next to it (as an equal). Now people like me, who have been clicking the undock button in the lower left-hand corner for almost half a decade, are basically given the finger by CCP.

At least have a reason when making these changes.

I don't mind the undock button on the station panel, except for one thing. I quite often have the map open, and now it is no longer possible to keep the map open when undocking unless you use hotkeys. I don't use hotkeys so this is a bit annoying as I have to close the map and then undock and then open the map back up again. Why not have the undock button in both places.

I have nearly worn out the Eve clock clicking it in error to undock.

Some times things are just changed for the sake of doing so.

This is not always a good thing.

The problem isn't the button, or where it's located. The problem is twofold: first, CPP *STILL* hasn't learned a goddamn thing in terms of "fixing" **** that isn't broken; second, when changing UI stuff like this, give players the ability to say "thanks, but no thanks."

Case in point, this new Undock button location. Maybe most players love it, but I ******* hate it. I can't see it because the Station Services are used only for updating medical clones every few months and are perpetually hidden by my Items Hangar. Now undocking requires right-clicking the active ship and initiating from the dropdown menu.

Such an easy way of keeping everyone happy would have been to insert the Undock button into the Neocom menus somewhere, and allow us to drag it back onto the bar if we desire. Everyone stays happy, CCP gets thumbs up, no ragepoasting required.

I started playing right before Odyssey... and actually subscribed the day before it launched.

After objectively exploring both options without being too concerned or "used" to it being in either location, I can honestly say that the current location is much better than the previous.
