Cannot See Probes in Space...

one of my alliance members has a MacBook Pro 17". He cannot see his probes in space, ONLY the little arrows in the center of the probes and not the probes themselves (the blue orbs).

I'm using a 15" Retina MBP and am not having the same problems. He is running 10.8.4, he cleared the cache etc. Same issue. Is there some setting that hides the orbs that I never knew about?

Any ideas?

I'm having this issue as well!

I go into the system map in order to manage my probes, and the grid/sphere graphics that surround each probes range do not show up. This makes it impossible to accuratly place them.

I'm getting this as well on my 13 inch Mid 2009 MacBook Pro. I can see the move handles but not the range spheres. I think it was the OS X 10.8.4 update that killed it for me as I was happily probing earlier in the day.

I am looking into this. Please provide me with some information such as the graphical settings.

Shadow, Texture, Shader Quality, Anti-Aliasing settings etc. This information has been neglected from reports, and I have been having some trouble reproducing with my mac.

Optimized for memory:
Anti-Aliasing disabled
Post Processing none
shader low
texture low
lod medium
shadow disabled
interior effect low
interior shader low.

Optimized for performance most highest setting. still the same problem. tryed clearing the cache. full screen/windowed no effect.

experimented with different resolutions: no effect. problem remains.

Thanks, and just for some more info, can you tell me what hardware and OS you are using so I can match it to your settings? I can then try it out in the same environment.

Thank you, I will try to update you as soon as I know something more. And to anybody else who experiences this please supply the same info Snuskpelle did. It really helps track it down.

Did the following:

I updated to 10.8.4 and tested. did not solve the problem.

Then I went to Reset Settings Tab.
Reset to Default Window Positions
Reset to Default Window Colors
Clear All Settings.

Clients restarts. Probe Sphere did show. started moving around the probes a bit. back to same problem.

I played around with different graphic settings but never got the range spheres to show up. Oddly everything was fine until I updated to OS X 10.8.4. So, at least for me, that may be a culprit.
