With the new changes to BS. My beloved Armageddon Is no more
Of my likings. What have they done to my beloved Armageddon???
Please help me understand the changes and why would they do such changes
To such a great ship?

Before:

8 high slots
3 medium slots
8 low slots

10% bonus large energy cap.
5% bonus rate of fire.

Now:

Armageddon Amarr Battleship Skill Bonuses: +10% Drone Damage and Hit Points (replaces Large Energy Turret Rate of Fire), +10% Energy Neutralizer and Energy Vampire Range (replaces Large Energy Turret Cap Use)
Slot layout: 7H (-1), 4M (+1), 7L (-1); 5 turrets (-2), 5 launchers (+5)

Why why why?
Someone please help me understand the changes and if it is actually better then the before?

does anyone else feel my pain of changes?

They said there'd be too much overlap with 3 pretty similar Amarr BS's.

That being said, the Dominix is what got boned the hardest by the new Armageddon.

Benefits of Dominix over Geddon:
- 1 extra mid (woo....)
- Sentry sniper... (wut?)
- More structure (for manly tanking I guess?)

Benefits of Armageddon of Domi:
- Crazy neut range (RIP Neut domi)
- More armor (pretty important for an armor tank, I think. I'm not a pro, but I heard more armor > less armor)
- No gun damage bonus on either ship leaves geddon only a little behind Domi w/5 turrets - oh wait, 7 Hi's including launcher slots, too? AND 3500 more base powergrid? Guess that pulls the geddon ahead AGAIN in that role.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

Yes the Geddon redesign is a load of rubbish... but meh... too late now

I guess it is a pvp beast in your words but not so much for gate camping...
I lost the dps. I guess I can skill for missile launchers but seriously blows when they change your favorite ship and being accustomed to its abilities... Guess I must move on and challenge myself to a new ship for gate camping.

Or learn how to do something other than being a gatecamping baddie...... you could try that also.

Trust me my friend I have done other things.
My pleasure is being a pirate... I will always be a pirate in eve.
You have ppl that have pleasure in camping pirates or pleasure in
Missions or just solo attacks... I found my spot and all challenges in pirating;-)
Oh the isk you can make in gate camping and the curiosity of what is
In that cargo hold :-D

Because they can that's why.
They're bored and don't know what to do so they change ships so they can say look we are doing something.

Standard geddon?

I'm not in the game yet to check for myself not until this weekend so i am curious if someone can
