Another bug I discovered recently:

When applying Energy Neutralizers or Nosferatu as an effect to a ship with a capacitor battery equipped, the reduction the capacitor battery applies to the Neut/Nos is not taken into account.

Still not fixed

Googled something on batteries and it looks like it is believed that batteries only drain cap of the ship that neuts you, but they do not affect how much cap ship with battery loses when neuted. If that is true, EFT is correct. If you have evidence that it's not how it works, please provide a link. Honestly, I'd really love someone finally making it crystal clear how batteries work.

Can any1 add to this I had no idea batteries did anything other than give a bigger cap reserve.
Are you saying that if ship A neuts ship B (that has a battery fitted) it will cost more cap to run the neut than to neut ship C (that has no battery)
and thus a battery is a two fold defence against neuting?

Below is the dev blog that mentions the changes to capacitor batteries. Yes, they do reflect capacitor destabilisation effects on the attacker(s). It would probably be something you refit on your capital mid fight rather than something you fly with as a matter of course (unless you have a dedicated neutship tackling setup).

Be quiet and wait quietly. Or just get the files yourself and add them to EFT, theyre freely available. He'll update EFT proper when he has the time.

There is a version for Oddysey. I fit a Raven Navy Issue already (7 mid 8 launcher and all). The problem is it doesn't have the update for the Destroyers and Battlecruisers skill, so I keep having to set it to Battlecruisers 3 in character edit when updating the API, since apparently the faction based Destroyer and Battlecruiser skill update didn't get into the EFT update files.

Either take the DB-Dump kindly provided by ccp (google will help you with that) or use the linke posted in this thread only one page ealier than your post...

At least pretend to invest a bit of effort, will you?

Just keep in mind that the latest EFT version is going to need some work, given the number of ships being changed, the modules being added, and especially the skill changes. I can't even guess how importing characters from older EFT versions will work with the destroyer and battlecruiser skill splits...

All the data's already been released, and parsed in several file formats already. It would take literally less than five minutes to update with a short script.

That being said, this is Gripen's baby, and he certainly has the right to take however long he wants updating it. Two-three days is in no way a long wait.

TBH it's pretty normal for EFT updates on major patches.

I was just wondering in EFT on the citadel cruise and torpedo missiles what the DAMAGEREDUCTIONFACTOR stat was all about?

I can't find it when looking at the stats in-game so it must be a data base dump thing but I don't understand why its there.

Hi.
EFT shows not accurate powergrid on my Apoc Navy.
Ingame i have 27775,0 (engi 5lv plus EG-601) - in EFT instead 27175,13!

It's a stat used in the missile damage formula, generally the higher damage the missile is the higher the damage reduction factor is.

Could it be that the Apoc was just updated?

Ah ok. Thank you.

Seems silly to have a stat to reduce the damage of the missiles when it would make more sense just to have the base damage lower.

Anyway, thanks to Gripen for EFT and will be waiting patiently for the new version. Playing EFT is so much more rewarding than Eve.
