Racial or Ore versions of the Gnosis

Do want.

For people who don't want or can't afford a T3, a realitvely cheaper and most disposable exploration battlecruiser is a cool idea. Just give them okay passive bonuses, a role bonus for exploration (25% to probe strength seems fair), and if it isn't by ORE, make them lead towards their racial philosophies. Guns, Drones, and Armor for gallente/amarr while caldari/minnies are shields, guns, and missiles.

Don't get so hung up on the Gnosis. It's a unique ship and should stay that way.

But I may propose you read this thread by Nova Fox if you like exploration ships and I once had some ideas about T2 ones around the same time.

The Gnosis should be left alone, but I like the idea of a racial exploration boat for when the Gnosis's start to dry up. T3s and Gallente cruisers are really the only viable all-in-one exploraboats right now. It would be very nice to see a ship that is designed for exploration that isn't either race specific or prohibitively expensive to newer players. Something that is versatile but that won't ruin the game balance.

I'm thinking something like a tier 3 BC that can only fit 5 medium turrets/launchers but keeps all 8 high slots. This would handle like a cruiser, be fitted like a battlecruiser, and have bonuses and slot layouts conducive to exploring that won't also make it become the PVP win button.

Personally I am of the mind any racial exploration hull should be something in the way of a frig. An idea I (and others) have kicked around is a starter strat ship idea. This would be an ideal place to start. Just have to place the power and cost on par with pirate frigs and folks would love to fly and lose them.

Instead of giving all the subs to manage and buy give it just 1 "bonus" sub and 1 "fitting sub". The fitting subs swap around to allow for either high slot support of guns/launchers or CPU support for the noncombat sites. The bonus sub comes in racial wep types or site/scan module bonus or MAYBE an ewar sub.

The big idea would be to put a next shiney step for frig PvP while at the same time making advanced frig PVE more interesting. The gnosis sets a great precedent for all bonus on one hull/module.

Either that or a gnosis style frig for hisec exploration only. Cut some of the tengus out of hisec and push them to low where we can find them ;)

It IS a Racial ship, they're called Jove. This is a special edition ship, CCP will likely NEVER change anything on it no matter how many people cry on the forums or come up with "a great idea" and it should stay that way, a special ship, as is.
