I have been waiting for the expansion to hit before trying out my new CNR for Level 4's. What setups are people going to use?

This has been asked and answered at least twice recently. Try searching.

holy balls the CNR murders for PvE now

I'm using this fit

8x Cruise Launcher II
Gist A-type 100Mn AB, Pith A-Type Large Shield Booster, 2x Invulns, Target Painter II, Large Cap Booster II, Shield Boost Amp II
4x CN BCUs, DDA II

2x T2 Rigor
1x T1 Flare

I'll upgrade the Flare later I guess.

This is obviously incorrect, I have it on good authority that the CNR is now total Balls. As such I will do all CNR pilots a favor, they can contract their CNRs to me and only have to pay me a paltry 100 mil isk fee to dispose of this utter trash for them.

I'm all altruistic and such like that.

dammit, my alt had torp implants, now I need more +5s and cruise implants! that said he has mostly been flying tengus and droneboats, so the implants were kinda meh anyways.

I tell you what, going from a crappy little Raven only pumping out 434 dps WITH Drones, to a CNR pumping out 885dps JUST on Cruise Missiles is amazing!

I am glad I waiting to start using my T2 Cruise Launchers with the Expansion and the CNR :D

Gone with:

8 x CML II

4 x Resits (I will reduce them, just getting use to it first :-))
1 x X-Large Shield Boost II
1 x Cap Booster 800 (Will probably get rid of too just getting use to what she can handle first :-) )
1 x Phased Weapon Array

4x CN BCU
1 x Co-Processor II

Massively overtanked. You need one large shield booster, 2 mission specific resists, a DCII and that's it. You have no excuse for not having a prop mod with that many Mids.

overtanked cause I've had 3 attempted suicide ganks :)

the last one I tanked a whole fleet of them and I could have told concord to take a 20 minute break before getting to me :P

so i overboard it, my drone skills are maxed and all my skills are maxed so the damage is good, it's an afk setup that can plow level 4's super fast.

if you wanted you could totally afk level 4's if you wanted to reduce dps and put in fof missiles lol

I still seem to have some issues with them eating thought my shields quite quickly. Am I missing some obvious skill that would help http://eveboard.com/pilot/Zabiix or is it because I am only using TII resist and should aim for gist. Would you also go for the shield booster or resists first if you we're going caldari navy/gist resists?

I am using the right resists for the missions, I mainly fly against guristas and sanshas. But then I have had a couple of "All" dmg type missions and as I haven't done so many not sure if its the norm for those missions to be a bit more annoying?

1) No matter how much active tank you slap on your pinata, it still can be easily ganked unless the people trying to gank you are complete idiots.

2) IT HAS 8 (IN LETTERS: EIGHT) LAUNCHER-SLOTS! ò.Ó

Heh. I took it through Angel Extravaganza to test it out. I was one-shotting the mediums and 3-shotting the BS (except for Togio whatsisface), so most ships took at least 1 less volley to kill, which is a big deal when the BCs usually took two volleys. TBH it felt more like killing rats with a Mach.

All along I've said that people underestimated the power of pure damage types, range independent damage and tracking independent damage. Now the CNR has really come into its own as a low-effort 1-ship PvE solution. Being able to add a boost amp means that I don't even have to think about changing hardeners: 2 invulns works for everything just fine.

If you want a high focus, high-SP solution, then a Fleet Typhoon will exceed it. If you just want to crank out a couple of missions while you're waiting for the fleet to start ther CNR works awesomely.
