watch the button on undock and watch it change colour to act like a loading bar... so sneaky you dint even notice it right?


I already noticed that it changes color. That's in the station services area, not the bottom left where the undock button used to be. It was purpotedly removed from there to "allow room to provide undocking progress" yet that does not appear to be the case. Try being respectful to others; it takes very little effort.

It had to be bigger to make the colour change noticeable, perhaps. Thus to make room for the feedback they had to move the button to part of the UI with more space.

That is, rather than making room for something else where it was, they had to make room for the undock button getting bigger.

Moving the undock button was a travesty and a shame and is very confusing and disorienting, please put it back

I am also having difficulties to understand the reason for moving the undock button to the very opposite corner of the screen. Annoys the hell out of me every time I need to undock now. Undocking may be a station service, but as I pretty much never use station services (the really useful ones are part of neocom anyway, the rest is used only rarely), it's a matter of grouping a very often used UI element with very rarely used UI elements - and that's, IMHO, bad UI design.

Is there a keyboard shortcut available or definable for undocking? If there is, I wouldn't care about the change...

Clearly they want us to enter the captains quarters more often, why else would they waste all that screen real estate.

Windows ME sucked so bad, I was using Windows 98 up till 2006.

From there I was using Windows XP up until a year ago, and now using Win7.

I will resist Win8 till my last breath!

The boss says the company is getting Win9.

Does the undock button being moved really upset people so much? Things change in eve, and in a couple of weeks everyone will be used to it. I wonder if some people just complain for the hell of it Roll

Which is way to unresponsive if you use keyboard shortcuts to undock.

Also, on smaller screen it takes up even more space (the station services thing is already way to large, even with "Small station services buttons" turned on), and we can't even remove the services window since it keeps popping up (even if you drag it to be below the bottom of the screen).

On top of that, there now seems to be a cooldown from dock -> undock, so if you're mining and dump your ore at the station, you press the undock shortcut, see nothing really change much, go "did they break the shortcuts?", and then just get some silly message about accessing the hanger or so.

This whole new undock idea was supposed to be super fancy and faster. but I don't notice any speedups and I'd rather have the old UI back.

I would be satisfied with an OPTION to put it in the lower left, just like re-arranging icons.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if they moved it to a part of the UI that is always visible. In my case I have station services minimised nearly 100% of the time so putting the button on a part of the screen that is HIDEABLE is just plain bad design.

It's all right, they won't know how to undock because they're too stupid. Either that or they'll be spending so ******* long here complaining that they never work out where the button has moved.
