EVE Online: Odyssey Issues

Low fps here too, my system is really at the lowest end but it worked acceptable in most cases before Odyssey.

System:
AthlonXP 3700+ (1x 2,21 Ghz)
2 GB RAM
Gainward GTS450 (1024mb)
Windows XP Home SP3 (32-bit)

@1600x1200 lowest details, ressource cache on, trails and GPU particles off:

Before Odyssey (show all brackets): 120-150 fps in station /// 50-80 fps in small fleets (~10 ships), in warp and quiet space /// 15-30 fps on Amarr undock, in small scale fights...

After Odyssey (standard brackets and overview, just reinstalled today): 15-25 fps in station /// 5-15 fps in quiet space, warping /// ??? fps in combat situations, i didnt test - im not insane :D
Changing resolution to 1024x768 didnt make any performance change.

Will do a petition tomorrow, gotta get a nap.

Hope you can squeeze out a bit more until i can finally get a new rig 07

When I warp to a Bookmark the "Warping to X" no longer shows even though it does for warping to Stargates. Please bring this back so I don't stress I'm going to the wrong place.Shocked

EDIT: Well this is now working on my Main (This guy) but wasn't on my alt or on my other account. Weird! The only difference is that my Main has been logged off and on and my Main Alt hasn't.

EDIT: Still on my Main and now it's not showing when I warp to Stargates....WTF! lol. *FaceDesk*

When I change ships in a POS, the probe scanner wont refresh its results and I can't refresh them manually due to having no probelauncher with probes fitted. So I either have to login an scanning alt which I can warp to fleeting up or I jump in the desired ship and either have to log out and log in again or leave the system/wormhole and re-enter it to have the probe scanner results in the list...woah, nice mechanic

My e4400 machine now gets terrible frame rates in an asteroid field all by itself when set to high quality. Before the patch it would run multiple clients in highquality without an issue. Seems to run alright on the lowest settings.

E4400 OCed (2.7ghz)
1066 OC FSB
4GB ddr3
HD6450 1GB
SATA 7200 primary system drive
XP pro corp 32 bit
1280x1024


Had to do a complete re-install of eve on the e7200. All other machines applied the patch fine.

E7200 OCed 3.6ghz
1600 FSB
4GB ddr2
HD5770 1GB
Sata primary
win7 pro 64 bit
1920x1200 and 1920x1080

Performance is fine on this machine.

EDIT : I did a repair and deleted cache and still no joy..

One client install insists on using tracking camera even if the setting is not enabled.

Clearing cache, settings, running repair did not fix.

amazing expansion ,, absolutely stoked with how everything went and is going great job CCP

Just one small thing

at the data/relic sites that I have been too, every single one the sound effect and music is completely broken , at one point I was getting just static feedback Shocked . all my sounds where borked but went back to normal as soon as I left each site

pretty minor ,otherwise 10/10 guys <3 P

Well, everybody in Incursion knows its risky...
Different scenario for an Afk miner, ppl could be reading or playing Nintendo while the Ship alarm should alert in case of any Aggro.... assuming it works...

1st. let people choose whichever ringtone to its own alarm, pre odyssey one was GOOD and Audible
2nd will it be quite or loud, and assign a volume shift bar to it, a bit more customizeable than it is now...
3rd Add an Anti-ship Alarm like the luftwaffe Old Siren sound to those choosable, an alarm you SURE you **** in your pants when you ear it.... and one that wont cause your cat to **** on your keyboards also if possible after he ear it...
just to make sure everyone is happy
4th refund those assholes who mighty exposed their butts to the naked eye of the Dubmaster who redesigned the Audio sounds of Eve whilst going against Cannibal Sansha's with a broken Alarm system losing their ships in the search of glory and Bugs
5th Whilst at it, complete the RADAR system for the noobs, add some more buttons to overview setting with sounds library link... ADD sounds to it, make it cope with the Overview settings, let THEM TALK for Christ sake!!
exemple... I want to ear the Walkyrie Interlude when a Wardec'd guy pop up in my scan range... How would that be like.... possible???? extend it to various fields of the overview, like.. All NPC, or All BLACKLISTED... and add a Volume bar, a tiny mixer... a scrap radio knob.... A proximity activation range bar....

You are a Noob! You dont go Bio whilst doing an INcursion Site.... even ther CCP could give you back some reimbursment... its a pity you coulod not ear an Alert sound... its a so obviously important thing you dont mind they would have taken off or changed dramatically ( in your case XD )

I seem to be unable to clear weapon groups by removing a module in the fitting window. The "are you sure you want to clear the group" dialog doesn't actually clear the group.

And have you actually tried flying it, or just looked at the prereqs?

Because the prereqs don't matter, if you have the top level skills injected.


You can still fly the Orca, but you are not getting all of the attributes of the ship/Industrial Command Ship bonus (Full Boost Bonus & Cargo Bonus), as you need Ore Industrial Ship to lvl 3 (This skills is part of the Primary).

CCP need to explain, which is the extend, that the "If you can fly it now, you can fly it latter" dialog covers, because this is only half a ship that I was flying before (Also what is the deal with the Secondary and Tertiary skills, I was expecting lvl 5 Advance Spaceship Command for Ma Freighter! :[ ).

All this being Said...Ore Industrial lvl 3 is only a >15hrs training requierment, but an explanation on the above will be nice.

It seems as if there is a delay of a few seconds while switching crystals, but during these seconds it is still possible to shoot. but doing so seems to mess the reload up sometimes.

I experienced this in my L4 Legion. To reproduce

1. Load up a set of crystals, in my case Scorch crystals.
2. Switch to Multifrequency crystals
3. Before the switch is complete press the fire button
4. Old crystal is still used
5. Open up reload menu. The Multifrequency crystals are now missing from that menu

Workaround
Reload to another set of crystals and really wait for them to finish reloading. After doing this the Multifrequencies seems to appear in the reload list again.

This should not be the case. If it is, it's a bug.

I have this problem on a PC.

I could have sworn that I saw this bug reported in the test server feedback. For a WH Corp, this is a huge problem and if I'm correct that this WAS reported in the test server feedback, I'm more than a little disappointed that Odyssey was released with this problem.

Issue:

The scanner window does not remember the state the 'Show anomalies' toggle is in. Every time you open the scanner window it is toggled on, even if you toggled it off.

Also, not sure if this should go in features or issues: I can't find a way to disable the scan upon undocking, or at least to hide cosmic anomalies from the in-space results of the scan sweep.

"Fly before patch, fly after patch"

My main ship for nearly a year has been the NH, now 4 new skills have been created and included and necessary skills and ic ant fly it.
So not only i have several command shipd that i could fly before and cant fly now, but most of all the ship i most use for nearly a year, its a dead piece of metal in the station.

Is this going to be solved and will i be allowed to fly the ships i could fly before?

could use an overview setting to show anoms when they are scanned instead of spinning the ship to see them.
"ignore result" is not making the scanned anom go away, it stays on screen
massive lag when doing 'show info' on characters/ships/modules

Still waiting for a solution so that i can undock and check the new features of this patch.

For the time being, the only new feature i have found is... not being allowed to undock and fly my ship.

I am experiencing a total blank screen for any of my characters in space - if docked they are fine, if I launch nothing.

Once upon a time, if you unpacked sounds in the proper directory structure, the files were used instead of the files in the .stuff files.

For example, I preferred the more metalic computer voice (Stephen Hawking, up a few tonic steps), in general, and it was actually quite useful on a machine running two clients allowing you to know which client hand just completed a skill (new voice on one, old school voice on the other).

Other people needed to get rid of the reverberating warp sound because it would disturb people sleeping... and made that sound go silient while leaving other sounds alone (by replacing the warp sound files with files that were silent.)

There was a .stuff explorer (exStuff Explorer -- provided by CCP, IIRC, on this very site, also IIRC), but I never was able to locate a .stuff repackager. So, for me, the ablility to change sounds hasn't worked since about the time they started checking if the .exe was modified... I know this this because I run on a dual processor rig and was setting the affinity flag inside the .exe for which processor to run on (which supposedly would reduce lockups....) Then one day a patch came and the 'affinity-set' exctuable was flagged as 'bad' (checksum at startup failed) and the sound changes no longer worked.

It's not clear if they do a checksum on the .stuffs. If they do not, and you found a repackager for them, you could perhaps achieve your desired changes to certain sounds. To me, it seemed like they would, so I never pursued it furhter.

Each time I undock, camera is zoomed in on my ship.

Also, when closing down the star map, camera is zoomed in on my ship.

I can also confirm that the overview doesn't always load. Have happened twice so far today.
