This man speaks nonsense

There is a huge difference between paper DPS and real applied DPS.

Navy drake isn't bad... especially against enemies you don't want to use kin against.
Its also faster.
It also has 50% more EHP before resists (so 1.5/1.25 = 20% more shield EHP) its passive shield recharge is >20% better (maybe not after slapping on some LSEs though)
Better sensor strength, another mid, its not bad.
Forgot to check the PG/CPU

Navy Brutix - I like, "standard" navy treatment, 50% more EHP, 10% more PG and CPU, 1 extra slot, better sensor strength
I never liked the rep bonus anyway. Should make good shield gank fits, granted its a bit expensive for PvP, it can blitz lvl 3s and low end complexes well enough
No extra speed

Navy Binger - meh, substandard Navy treatment. Yes it gets +50% EHP, better sensor strength, and an extra slot, but it has less drone bay? why? It also doesn't get +10% PG.
That extra slot is going to be taken up by a cap booster, and in return you get a bonus about equal to a speed scripted TC.
No extra speed

Cane- didn't look at it - didn't they say its basically the old cane, pre nerf?

Navy Drake is better than the standard drake in missions against kin-resistant enemies and where you'll have a lot of smaller ships. It's a pretty awesome generic level 3 boat.

For PvE, however, the Navy Drake is kind of lackluster. It'll easily lose 1v1 to any of the 3 other Navy BCs, and probably to a lot of the standard combat BCs as well.

What size of pvp do you want? 2v2, 100vs100? Fly docured fleets?

It will be good as a nano drake, but there are better and cheaper alternatives.

So I still don't see how the navy drake can be viable or compete with the other navy BC in PvP.

it can project damage much further and apply it better, making it infinitely superior to the old nano drake.

Oh did I mention it's not locked into 1 damage type as well?
