Hi!

There are some experiences I would like to share, and would love to hear others (and maybe DEVS too), if they have problem with these things (only noticed these so far).

1: New damage indicator sound

If i have to hear that only for one moment longer my brain will explode..seriously... CAN I TURN IT OFF???? It's annoying.

2: Radial menu

The radial menu always tries to pop up if I try to select a different target from my target list other than which is selected, so sometimes I have to click 4 or 5 times to select another target. It's very very annoying if you are fighting multiple targets and you have to apply for example dps and ewar and drones to different targets.

PLEASE do something with this!

3: Automatic camera moving and zooming

Sometimes (not all the time) if I select a target, or a pos module or something, the camera turns and zooms to the target etc. CAN I TURN IT OFF???? It's annoying.

4: Can't igonre ore sites and anoms

Yes, if I try to igone ore sites and anomalies (in a wormhole) - one by one or alltogether - I just can't ignore them, they will stay on the list.

There is no problem with sigs.

1) You can turn it all off in the HUD options

2) You can re-assign the radial menu to a different mouse button and/or change the delay timer in the ESC settings under "general settings"

3) You can turn it off using the C button, or by turning it off in the selected item options.

4) Coming soon!

1) open the damage alerts
little lines at bottom right on HUD - configure damage alerts settings
uncheck boxes - no more warning sounds.

2) open esc menu - general settings
radial menu delay - set to long...
open radial menu with... - change to an unused mouse button.

3)selected item - clcik on little lines
uncheck "track selected item"

QFT

It was neat b/c it was different at fanfest, and i thought the horrid quality of the sound was b/c of the stream, but alas, i was wrong, it is b/c of the horrid quality of the sound itself.

Also on the topic of damage/cap alerts: Unlike the OP, I find them extremely useful, but with Odyssey, their sounds seem to have decreased in volume massively. I already had the UI Sounds volume setting all the way to maximum before patch so I can't increase that any further. And I can't really increase the volume of the entire game as other sounds (such as Aura) are incredibly loud by comparison. As a result, I can't hear the alerts at all if I have music running in the background, and even if I don't, I have to be paying attention to hear them over the rest of the game sounds. Is there any way I can tweak their volume somewhere?

Thanks for the quick reply !

For number 1:

I'm not talking about the shield/armor/hull damage indicator.

I'm talking about the new sound i hear whenever i recieve any kind of damage (when my shield on the hud flashes)

I can't find any options to turn this one off.

For number 2:

Found that one, thank you!

For number 3:

That was my mistake, I tought that it's something new, didn't notice that the tracking switched back on somehow ( I always keep it off).

Also another question:

The shield/armor/hull damage indicator sounds became pretty quiet, despite that I raised the volume levels in the setting, any info on these?

I don't believe that the OP is talking about the shield, armour, and hull alert noises but the new sound that accompanies the flashing red at the top and bottom of the screen when under fire. It is a continuous beeping noise and I also find it unbelievably annoying and I can't seem to turn it off. I don't want to get rid of all the HUD sounds as I find the alerts very useful. Please add some way to get rid of this new sound!

Not going to happen. Once the change goes in, its there to stay.

Its their game, and CCP doesnt care what you think.

Remeber that, and do your best to endure the changes!

You actually DID turn it off, yet CCP in their infinite wisdom believe whole heartedly that you NEED to have it on, b/c they spend so many dev hours on that little piece of 'pretty'...they want you to use it as much as possible, even if that means turning it back on for you after every patch.

Things that are bothering me:

The new undock button:
It's at a position I very likely won't get used to and far from the left menu which I mainly use. Also the longer waiting time is bothering if I'm in a hurry. Is there or can there be an option to put it back where it was?

Probes recovery:
Probes now move back to cargo with a beaming drive MK I eh? Or been touched by Q perhaps? I don't like the auto recovery either. People should take care of their stuff and I never need over 1 hour to scan a system.

Probe scanning:

In my opinion it's too easy and/or quick now. It's like: jump in system -> wait a sec for onboard scanner -> press a probe formation button -> scan down in less than 5 minutes -> clear it -> next one/system. Scanning down a Phi-Outpost was pretty easy unlike with old system where I had to place the probes very exactly and with much concentration to get 100%.

This bothers me so much. Those of us who have played for a length of time (since beta) have developed muscle memory for that stupid button. Just put it back please. Its awkward.

What if the Alert sound was not audible at all then? How to fix that?

I am afraid The Alarm system for ship defence is buggy! This caused under time dilation circumstances just seconds before i was DC;d the total loss of my Vindicator. I tried with my rookie ship if it was the DC the cause of it, but NO! The ALARM NOW IS SOMETHING USELESS! IT DOESNT SOUND AT ALL! SO... DC issues cased me a delayed look that I was being Sansha shot, but still, I wouldnt have been alerted by ANY SOUND, AND as I was eating a sandwich in front of my PC screen, I would have had the time to intervene and bc for shield.armor.etc I took a picture of my killmail for a 4.3B total loss, couldnt capture a video, though I guess its an all round change what you have made to ALARM PS. I read all patch notes yesterday, there was reporting of sound variation, but not on the security system audio sounds......... I Petition for a full reimbursment. Thank you CCP. Hope you get us back a working alarm system soon...

Very happy to see that we'll be able to turn the scanner off soon. Will there also be an option to stop the gate jump effect zooming you back into your ship?

It's not a huge problem but it is very tedious having to zoom out after every jump.
