Put my UNDOCK back

Why did you move the undock arrow!! Can we get it back in its "rightful" spot? Why change something that is and has been the same for as long as I've played eve (I guess it was broken). Its like Microsoft removing the START in Windows!!!

I would be satisfied with an OPTION to put it in the lower left, just like re-arranging icons.

Some of us are left handed, not that righties shouldn't be upset too.

If you think that would be madness, dont buy windows 8 lololol

EDIT: but dont avoid windows 8 just for that reason, theres many MANY more reasons to avoid it than just this! (yes they really went an 'vista-ed' again)

ive not logged into odyssey yet, where has the undock button gone to?

Microsoft actually completely obliterated the start button in Windows 8.

And now in a "mea culpa", are adding it back.

I honestly don't see how they could overlook this, didn't someone in the office mention or even cross their mind? EVERYTIME I want to undock since the update I have clicked at the nothing space in the Neocom where the undock button used to be. And being able to turn off that auto-scan on every jump-land would be nice.

im sure the undock button is something that ppl will get used to over time, but after nearly 2 years of clicking the bottom left corner itsa constant "uhhh where is the... oh there" every time i want to undock now.

I want to know why the undock was moved, what technical or user benefit was there thats going to make the game that much better and more engaging by moving it to the absolute opposite of its prior location?

also just a personal note/whine, i dont approve of having to effectively mouse over the enter cq button everytime i want to undock. If the undock MUST go in the top right now, at least have it on the left side. I HATE the cq esp as i have all cq settings as low as i can so it has zero appeal

the undock is better where its at now, the bar on the side is for stuff that will always be there, when you go in space when you jump from one place to the next, the undock button had nothing to do there since it needs tto go when you undock.
Its a simple change that youll get use to and will mess up some bots, also just right clicking your ship and undocking it is the true pro way of doing it, when they will remove rigth click options then il be mad, unless they fix the radial menu
I cant even use the radial menu in my drone window so its still broke

Making arbitrary UI changes for no reason is extremely poor form in any software development.
Rookie mistake guys, move it back.

The reason why is mentioned in the patch notes. I'll try to find it. Something about making room for something that I'm apparently blind to because all I see is the clock.

From the patch notes:

Quote:
The loading bar has been eliminated from the Undocking transition. The Undock button has been moved from the NeoCom to the Station Services panel to allow room to provide undocking progress.

The patch notes for this don't make much sense to me.

- Loading bar eliminated.
- Allow room to provide undocking progress.

I just undocked and watched the bottom left and saw nothing change.

What if it turns out that they have good reasons for doing this? Would you bear with it at that point? Undock is a station service, it belongs in the station services window. But really, all those station services belong in a radial menu so they are only visible when you actually need them.

you must be an idiot.....

watch the button on undock and watch it change colour to act like a loading bar... so sneaky you dint even notice it right?

they wanted to chose the size of the button to make it a bit bigger then when you have it on the side i guess so they've put it there, but seriously i remember having that thing minimized..... i know you can rigth click to undock but there is not shortcut.. can you use the radial menu?....

I am not an idiot, my view centers on the middle of the screen, around my spaceship and its hud location, not the bottom left, nor the top right!

bottom left was just something of habit even then it was a click then eyes on the middle ready to hit space! If they really shifted it after all that time just to make the undock arrows change color slightly... what a waste! Who really stares at the utmost extremities of thier screens like that anyway, everytime over x number of years to make it worthwhile?!

station services? ehh ok i guess, still i'd hardly consider that as a dominating reason to change the "norm", guess im still too used to npc stations, maybe that will change soon! Still much i need to learn about poses (can you dock in them, do they have the classic station appearances or something special?)

The Scumbag Steve is strong in this threat. I like the flashy lights when undocking and couln't give a damn where they place that stupid button. Really, who cares? Well, seems I found them! Smile
