Luancher Re-installed, why FFS why?

I was one of many who decided to delete their pointless EVE launcher & instead launch directly from the client.exe. (Yo dog, we heard you like launchers so now we've got launchers to launch your launchers to launch your .exe file).

The launcher is pointless & that is why I removed it, so why has this update installed the launcher once again without my permission? I wanted to update my eve client not install the malware that is this launcher & it is malware by the very fact that it has installed itself with out me prompting it to & without warning while piggy backing onto a client update.

CCP please implement the same situation as captain quarters where we can disable this pointless feature. The launcher is very pointless, it is in fact without a doubt the most useless piece of software I've ever used.

Why all the launcher hate? i'm clueless about computers, installed eve to default locations, have three accounts running and the launcher works fine.
maybe im missing something.

They use it to find botters.
every time u log it in it sends info back to CCP. How do you think they banned so many accounts. that choice will never be added.

Use your imagination. Update the launcher, use the launcher to update your client, then go back to just bypassing the launcher.

BTW, you do realize that EVE is owned by CCP? Right? You have two choices; 1) let CCP update their client the way they want or, 2) Delete the client and quit playing EVE.

I suggest you opt for #2
