You probably already seen many posts about this, but someone tell me why do Carebears, LowBears and NulBears have a local where you can see who is in system ? Do they need that to play EVE and feel safe ? In WH space, where the hard core players are, we don't have anyone in local unless you were so stupid to talk in local. Its more logical....since if you cant see me being cloaked, why the **** would you see me in local ?!

Keeping scores :

U-mad score = ......
U-Troll score = ......
U-Dumb score = ......
U-DaMan score = ......

Ps. Send me 100M isks and you will be added as supporter of the "No Local for real men Campaign".

My wormhole was equipped with the following:
Cat Casidy
Percussive Diplomacy
Sedition.

Confirming this has never been asked before and the reason it's like that is because we all begged CCP to implement it.

Keep these scores, instead:

People who think that dscan adequately replaces local (forgetting cloaks) = ....
People who think that ship-choice would remain the same without local (forgetting cloaks) = ...
People who think that industry/pve outside of a POS forcefield would continue to occur without local (forgetting cloaks) = ...
People who think that GUD FITES would occur more often when nobody ever knows if they're bringing a knife to a gunfight or vice-versa prior to the engagement (forgetting brains) = ...
People who think that desolate, uncharted, moving-around, mass-limited, no-cynos wormhole space proves that removing local would just make things slightly more hardcore (due to insufficient exposure to cloaks in wormholes) = ...

Mind, I really like my covert ops cloak. It's because I like it that I don't want the hunter to be so advantaged that there are no prey anymore.

Bears are so awesome. They do not even need to work to Grief folks.

you don't /understand/, man, we live in wormholes with no local, i feel so ~hardcore~ when I hit my dscan button and probe down grav sites

Low sec or null sec is typically more dangerous than a WH... just sayin', I've lost a lot more ships in low sec/null sec than WH's, and I've probably gone into WH's more often than low sec or null sec...

I see that you have more players in low/nul/hs and that it might get messy without local and no need to de-cloak to drop probes or so, but you still have to enter the system uncloaked. More players in a controlled system is more players to guard the gates.

What's the worst that will happen if you remove local in the rest of EVE ?

Nothing to do with this post really, but do people in hs/nul/low dscan as much as in WH space ? Not trolling ..... seriously curious. Twisted

EDIT : And I agree......WH space is more "safe" then most other parts of EVE.....if you know what to do of course.

Are you saying mining isn't bad for your mental health ? Its deadly ! Only hardcore can stay alive after seeing mining ships and ore.

Removing local just to make the game more "hardcore" would be a silly move, I rely on local for both entertainment (stupid scammers) and intelligence (you dock camping me).

Think of it this way, how would all the "hardcore" scammers be able to scam without a local chat?

You have a point there...... Lol But I am not saying to totally remove it, just don't show it till you start talking yourself.
