Being a loot pinata doesn't matter; he's a ratting Machariel in nullsec, anyone that gets a chance at him is going to take it.

Buying a 2.5 bil ratting pod for marginally bigger ticks in a place where bubbles exist is probably a super bad idea though.

Did this thread really have a suggestion that implants to reduce a battleship's sig and make it difficult to probe are a great choice for a Mach ratting Angels?? Shocked

Personally I'd just grab the 5% large projectile damage implant and the 5% ROF implant and stuff in a set of basic +3s. Much cheaper to lose when the proverbial hits the fan and gives you a good damage boost.
Nullsec ratting and a few bil of implants in anything smaller than a cap ship is generally not a good combo.

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

No, it didn't. It had a "suggestion" that Halo implants might be a better choice if you (also) passive shield or armor tank. The comment about probing was intended to be semi-humorous.

I'd also completely forgotten about the target lock aspect of (in/de)creasing your signature radius and having (slightly) more time to warp away, or jam/damp/kill them, before you get locked up by someone might be a worthwhile consideration.

Obviously you have never been to Jita.

You only get ganked while running missions in Jita if your ship is decked out with a stupid amount of pimp, as long as you keep the price of your ship down only someone with a personal vendetta against you will gank you as it's just not worth the trouble.

Thanks guys for the replies!
So, what implants like "ROF" for example should I plug in?

Thanks,

Eifyr and Co. 'Gunslinger' Large Projectile Turret LP-1005 - Grants a 5% bonus to large projectile turret Damage. (slot 10)

Inherent Implants 'Lancer' Gunnery RF-905 - Grants a 5% bonus to all turret rate of fire (ROF) (slot 9)

You can go +6s if you like but the cost really starts creeping up for diminishing returns. Because of how evemath works the +5% ROF implant will give you marginally more dps than the +5% damage also available for slot 9 (not factoring in reloads.)

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Pithum C-Type + 2 Hardeners on a Tengu is already overkill for tanking, no need for halos, and there's no need to make yourself hard to scan unless you're running missions in hostile space.

Don't look at my Tengu than im running a large ASB with one of the cheapest deadspace or faction small shield boaster as a lv4 mission runner. That is overkill considering the shield booster alone lets me take full room aggro or close to it.

But back to topic at hand the only real use I see to getting HG Crystal set is so you can downgrade your shield booster as others have said so you don't look like a loot pinata. My personal preference is using an ASB but thats just me as I was able to squeeze it into a Tengu with some creativity and a clone dedicated to it.
